Hello everyone!
According to me, yes we really need smart cities because we do not have the proper facilities of the hospital, school, police station, bus stand and many sectors which we go there in our daily routine.
It's really important to provide these facilities then we can say our city is really smart.
We need to focus on villages area because when the villages change then it will develop automatically.

In my opinion, we definitely need smart cities. Our government is already planning to turn many of the small cities into smart cities in the coming years which will a great initiative for our country as a whole. When we talk about smart cities, it is not just the attractive infrastructure, but a "smart city" actually refers to a city that makes the life of its people easy and good by means of better transportation, education, health and housing networks. But the major point here is that along with the good planning, our government should be able to provide good governance to execute the plans and achieve the desired goals. Smart cities will create more job opportunities which will relax the current unemployment problem in our country. Our country has manpower but fewer job opportunities for the people. Take an example of many engineering students who are either unemployed or are getting highly underpaid jobs, despite the hard work they put into their education.
Definitely, it is important to focus on the villages too, but the process will be gradual. The current small number of smart cities in our country are facing the problem of over-crowding and hence pollution rise. According to me as more cities will be turned into smart cities, the situation will be better.
Smart city will contribute towards economic development of the country and hence will enable the government to do more for the people below poverty line.
Apart from a better standard of living, a smart city gives good exposure to the people and hence can contribute in making people smart. Smarter the people, smarter and more developed the nation!

Yes, we need Smart cities but first of all, we need to become smart then only there is a possibility of being our city smart. Most of the people in our country are idiots then doesn't know how to use the appliances or facilities provided by government. They were not thinking about of city or country and destroying them while misusing it. They even don't know where to spit or not they even not know how to use Sulabh Complex they would write something nonsense on the walls of these government toilets and many more public places as we see in railway toilets also. Government should not do anything in case of such type of peoples because they don't think what is the effect of such type of stupids activities over our society. Because of such type of peoples our India could not stand up with other developing countries. So if we want our city smart then it is our duty to suggest those peoples what is right and wrong. Then only our city will become smart otherwise, Government should invest a lot of money and because of these peoples, everything is becoming a problem for our country.

Hello friends, smart cities are not the solutions to develop country. No doubt it is the sign of an develop country, but according to our knowledge, smart city indicates the development of uneducated, communication, transportation, modern technology. Briefly, the smart city reflects as a common goal like to indicate echo system, environmentally friendly, to decrease the sound pollution, water pollution and air pollution. Hence smart city indicates a healthy, well developed and cultural society as we expect forever. This is also our PM'S dream.

Hi all, in my point of view, smart cities are really needed for a developing country, because smart cities will help in creating a lot of employment in our country. Nowadays unemployment is increasing day by day. But while constructing smart cities as my friend Ankit Verma said we really need smart people and also it should be eco-friendly. Development should happen by protecting our nature.

Smart means to develop yourself.
We can not develop on the basis of resource like transportation buildings etc.
First, we have to be smart ourself.

We need to understand the essence of Smart and the logic can be derived from the same if we need the smart city or not. Smart city means an alert city on various social, economical and developmental of the overall area. To make our surrounding clean free from pollution various measures can be taken to make the city smart like developing green, similarly a society free from malpractices like theft and other social problem there could be a machinery which can control such activities by creating smooth law enforcement like camera installation at various location, this not only create check on unsocial activity but also helps the law machinery to work smartly by reducing the unnecessary efforts. The similar effort of developing public transport for smooth transportation and easy access and planned move, when you know you can reach your destination in 30 min and that you need to plan to make your move 2-3 hrs before thus utilising time for other work and when we say smart city means all the planning related to smoothing this as well, A proper schools, hospitals these are again one of the necessary parts of the smart city. So when we look broadly the intrinsic features of Smart city we can for sure will say yes to Smart city, then the question of its implementation becomes then important which of course need a proper social education, timely training camp, and awareness programmes so that all can contribute to the same.
