In my point of view, Smart City is like an aeroplane and what an aeroplane need for a safe flight is a good competent pilot if he is non-competent enough the plane may crash anytime. In the same manner we "the people" are the pilots of this plane called Smart City.
Suppose we are having an empty packet of chips or something then we throw it anywhere. Is this a quality of a citizen of a smart city? No. A smart citizen will search for a dustbin if he doesn't get it he will simply put the wrapper in his pocket to throw it in a dustbin at some other place. So the point is, first of all, we have to be smart then only we can think of smart cities.

Hello, friends.
First of all, what is a smart city?
The Smart city is a city where each and every facility must be available to the people at their doorsteps with many conveniences. The city where we can see economical growth, best educational facility, best healthcare provided, comfortable transportation facilities etc available.
In my point, we do not need smart cities at the current situation because the maximum percentage of people in India are illiterate and live in poverty. So the major concern of the government must be to utilize the revenue generated to make literacy rate higher and reduce poverty.

Hai all.
My opinion is we don't need the smart cities. But we are in need of green city and green villages. Because lot of our agricultural practices are destroying due to the transformation of our life style and food style. Smart city makes the people updated and modern but the green city and green village make tha people disease free.
Hence people should aware of creating green village and green city rather than to think for smat city.

Hello friends.
As per my understanding, to have smart cities is important but not the most important aspect in the present day. In developing countries like India, the primary focus shall be on improving the conditions of smaller cities, towns and villages. Metros of India are already having a good enough lifestyle. The government shall focus on improving education and infrastructure in smaller cities and towns. They shall first be devoted to providing all basic amenities like electricity and water throughout the nation. Smart cities can thus be delayed for some time.

In this world, to become a developed country, it should be equipped with well educated people, advanced technologies. A smart city does not only mean it should be advanced in the above sectors but also the people of the city should get a proper, clean environment to live in. So having smart cities does not mean that developing the industries, transportation etc but also improving the envronment of the people, animals. So, I don't think there is harm in having a smart city.

I think the city will be smart if people are smart. Of course, we need smart cities but smart rural areas also. Villages need developments too. Because half of the population lives in the village. Our Government is trying its best to make the country better. It's our duty too to keep our cities or surroundings clean. Firstly We should know how to use any facility in a useful manner. Smart cities are need of the modern world. And hopefully, it is our future.

Yes, definitely we need smart cities as the main reason that we are striving these days is getting a good and better society. All the schemes and development programs like digitization is to see India as a smart one. This achievement cannot be sentenced in one form, the overall development of country leads to emerging of smart cities. And smart city in terms mean a technical and creative type of city, first of all to have these type of cities we need to develop many other things like good roads, developing villages, creating 100% employment and so on. If we see these changes, automatically the next step is creation of smart city by itself. And developed countries itself mean having smart cities. So definitely we need smart cities.

Yes, we need smart cities because currently india's GDP is increasing very rapidly it have been predicted that india's GDP will overtake many country's GDP and will become 3rd largest GDP behind US and China by 2035, so these 15-20 years are for india, during this time India will have to do maximum development and will become a developed country, so this is the high time for making smart cities and according to me India should also focus on developing rural area because there are many villages in India who doesn't have basic facilities like electricity, water etc. So India should work for both smart cities and smart villages.

Yes, of course, we really need smart cities. As smart cities makes people updated about the current trend & technology & also provides a lot of platforms where one can showcase his ability, skills or talent among people. Although if we think that we can showcase our talent in rural areas as well but it's found not easy due to lack of resources which are only available in smart cities.
