No doubt, rural area development is must but here the topic is about smart cities and definitely, these cities are needed for overall economic growth. Also, they act as a tourist attraction by many. Employment opportunities do attract the migration from rural to these places so, development and maintenance will bring out more output.

According to my opinion, a smart city is not needed because first our the country is needed to develop in rural areas. There are not having a hospital, school, college proper road to connect the rural people to urban people. The First government provides some facility to rural people than after we need smart cities.

According to me, we really need to develop our rural areas and then our city smart firstly we need to develop our daily needs such as hospitality and schools and colleges and then companies. As our birth rate is increasing day by day we really need smart cities. This is my opinion.

I agree with you, but I want to add more little things.
Need ness of smart cities is change with respect of the country. Our Indian economy based on agriculture. Most of the people belong to rural areas, if we don't think about them then how can we get increase our GDP.
You well know most of the people left the village and come to live in smart cities, can you think only increase the no of smart cities we can increase our economy, no it's not possible for the agriculture-based country. So first choice to need smart village instead of smart cities. We don't against the smart cities concept but not primary choice.

Currently there is no need of smart cities. It will be better if government focus to improve the rural areas.
As our honourable prime minister is working to develop cities to convert into smart cities but it's also important that he should focus on the underdeveloped countries and try to create more employment and help needy people.

We come to the nation where 57% land is agricultural land. So before going for a smart city, we can also have smart villages. It will create a backbone of our nation.

Yes, we need a smart city. The Need of smart city means not forgetting our ancient rules. Because In this generation we are giving more work to our brane and less work to our body. Due to new equipment and smart devices. Yes, we need a smart city but I wnt agree with it because I Dnt need a smart city I need a healthy city.

Yes, we really need smart cities as they modernize the society and the people' thoughts living in these socities. Not only this much, it also reduces the problems of natural calamities like we can take an freshly example of mumbai city which is very advanced and have the title of "London of India " was also flooded over 5 to 6 days. And people were very disgusted by it that all the cars were trapped in jam for 7-8 hours as there is no way to control rain on that area.
