Do we really need Smart Cities?

Proper education system, employment and good hospitals are the basic needs of every people. Due to which most of the people ran towards the big cities, creating huge population there. What a smart city really means,

According to me, a place where a good education system, proper law system, good hospitals, proper traffic system, good technologies and proper water supply are there can be considered as smart city. If we are providing these facilities in small towns and cities, there will be decrease in migration of people from small towns to big cities. Ultimately there will less population in big cities and there will more no. Of smart cities. It will definitely help in the development of our country, although its a huge challenge for the government because it will needed a lot of budget but these initiatives will definitely lead to the of our country.

According to me,

Smart city is to make people smart by encouraging every individual irrespective of village or city to implement their innovative ideas for the development of the society. One must be able to do something unique which will add value to their life and to the society even. Basically one must be smart enough first. To make smart being educated properly is the key thing. There must be changes in the way of learning. Everything is changing day by day so as the people also should change. Continuous improvement must be encouraged.

Yes, We really need smart cities.
I agree with all of you, that before making the city smart, we should try to make the people smart and villages smart but if we keep waiting to be every people smart and every village smart the country which is developing with us will overtake us soon and the will become developed.

So, in my opinion, govt should focus on to make people smart but at the same time to make a smart city.

According to me, of course, we need smart city Because smart cities mean advancement of technologies, economic growth etc but must important point is that first of all must change our thinking because smart thinking is most important for the smart city. And after that automatically all Indian city can be a smart city even a village can be a smart village. I agree with many of you that we do not need smart cities right now. It's just waste of people's money and a burden on economy cause majority of people live in rural areas. And that's why the government should focus on rural development, uprooting corruption, increasing literacy rate, making food available to everyone so no one sleeps empty, find ways to improvise their living of standard. Then only government should focus on smart cities.

As our country is developing rapidly smart cities might seem good but wE need to work on the betterment of what we have right now. Government is talking about starting bullet train but current condition of the railway is not that good. First, we should take care of what we have and then go for advancement like samart cities. Firstly, rural areas should be developed and after that, we can think of smart cities.

India is a developing country. It requires huge fund for different sectors. But it is not affordable for India at this point of time to invest such huge amount in development of smart cities. For any project or task, it is important to first form the foundation. It requires developing little more before spending on smart cities. Resolving problems relating to malnutrition, poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and such more are needed at this foundation level. After that, the development process can start which can be metro projects or may be smart cities project.

Hello everybody, in my opinion, we don't need smart cities, we need only cities which are well developed but ruling government is not concentrating the minimal requirements of people in a city now a days some cities even don't have proper road transport facilities but that cities declared for smart city how funny is this.
