Yes, we need smart cities. It's not necessary that we try to make people smart and then do smart cities. Before demonetization most of the educated people, as well as uneducated people didn't use smart transaction app such as paytm, UPI etc, but as demonetization came into play people automatically tried to become smart due to the problems which they faced and all started using paytm etc. So the ultimatum is that if we have smart cities people will automatically become smart based on the Environment.

Yes, We need smart cities. Smart cities are in fact a sign of development. There are many advantages of building smart cities, it provides employment, good educational facilities, health care and improves the quality of life. As per estimates around 25-30 people are migrating to cities in search of better life style. So, we need more cities to reduce the problems like overpopulation in already existing cities.
Smart cities also attract foreign companies to invest in India which again creates employment to Indians and the government also gets benefited by the taxes paid by the companies.
Currently, the world is in a digital era and with the current pace the world technology is growing, we Indians can't be left behind in terms of growth and technology.

Hello, every.
Yes, we really need ' smart cities ' as it is saying that by 2050 near about 70% Indian population will opt for urban living. Basically, smart city defines an eco-friendly and technically smarter in all respect. But before the visualisation of the smart city, I think the government should focus to resolve the existing problems of our nation first, that are.
1. Infrastructure problems as there are lots of pool holes.
2. Poverty.
3. Unemployment.
4. Dumb administration. Politicians woo people with this topics just for their vote banks. As when see from last few years then we can notice that corruption is increasing in trend in these sectors. So with corrupted politicians and administrators, it may be little difficult to imagine any kind of prosperity in our country.
5. Inequality in income. As one of the features of the smart city is own housing but since the ratio of middle and lower class are more so it's not affordable.
6. Population, we also not take it as in minor sense.
So, at last, I would like to say although India needs urbanisation first to eradicate our existing drastic problems which create hurdles to thrive our aim i.e. Smart cities.

Hi friends, In my point of view, smart cities is really needed. Because now India is only a developing country. If India wants to become developed country the smart cities is really needed. We couldn't get that easily. Eradication of corruption is the main thing to achieve smart city. On other hands, cleanness is also very important. Through the cleanness disease will be decreased. These things are not only enough. So we have to do many things to developing our country.

Hello friends,
Yes, we need smart cities, but we need to understand that there is an increase in the gap between skill people and non-literate one. We can used high speed internet but another side the labour worked day night to established the optical cable project. This people can't able to full field their basic needs. Of course we have to adapt new technologies. Evolution is necessary but everyone can able to be a part of this change is very important. Smart city projects are good but at least every people working on this project should get benefits from it. One person is not able to make a change but if every person help at least a person to enhance their life then we definitely able to make a change.
Thank you!

Hi.
In my point of view, there is no need to build a smart city, instead if people are educated and the basic needs required for the city are provided then automatically a city becomes smart with smart people.

Hello everyone,
No doubt we really need Smart Cities. But smart cities scheme should be implemented on proper and right the time.
I had seen on metro station old age person wants to go up by escalator but he didn't know how to go up. He tried and fell down.
I am not against of Metro but they should get proper education and knowledge. At least, they should know what is that and use it. We are using new technology and people are not aware of it.
Some people should create awareness of new technology with the help of some institute.

Yes, we really need smart cities but that's not mean we are destroying our plants and animals and agriculture. We have to protect them and solving the problems.
First of all, we need to change our thinking how to development of our environment & how to make a great country.
I think we need green cities to better than a smart city. Because it helps our life & environment.
So, Those people who destroy our agricultural farm's, plants. I request those people don't do this.
Thank you.

Of course there is a need for smart cities but moreover that we need to have a smart and effective education. With the development of only smart cities cannot be of great benefit with not so smart people. The education system, our agricultural system the poor section of our society needs to uplift first. My idea about the smart city is not just with the infrastructure and more technology it is a city with people of belonging to the place and responsible towards the future generation also.
