Do we really need Smart Cities?

The reason that India really needs smart cities is that it really lags behind other developed and also developing countries in terms of infrastructure. But one more viewpoint that most of you would agree is that if our viĺages are not even with all round electric and water supply how can we develop our already developed cities further?

See, the govt needs to address both the aspects of the Indian social strata.

As increasing the level of tech of only one of them qill not do.

Smart cities should be made but villages should be atleast tended to for the time being.

As per my opinion, we all want smart city but this is not right time to do work on smart city. First we have to develope rural area and make village like city. Make basic need available for common man. First Make our city educated and clean and also make medical. Facility easy then automatically our city become smart city at right time. Step by step we have to improve our facility.

Instead of investing money to form smart cities, we should rather need to develop villages and provide basic requirements for a healthy living for the people living in those villages. Developing smart cities will abridge the gap between the holistic development of India as a nation. We have to understand that our farmers from whom we get to satisfy our stomach are mostly the residents of the village and thus their development will lead to the development of village as a whole. So, we should find out ways to develop villages to form Cities rather than forming cities into smart cities.

Smart cities are really needed by the developing country like India because all other developed nations are smarter than us so we are in the situation to grow smarter. First of all smart city is noting but an l improved.

A city with more digital to human interface. So we should really go smart city.

In my opinion no smart cities are required.

Because, The root cause of urban movement that is agrarian crisis, joblessness and poor infrastructure in villages these factors are being ignored at the cost of preparing for the urban shift.

In my opinion, at the present time there are much more things that need our attention.

About half of the population of India residing in villages, jhuggis, we really need to think is having a smart city justifiable.

Yes, now we look at the other countries our country has less no. Of cities than the others why we need is to develop the country and increase the per capital income of the people who are living in the town's and giving more opportunity to the people in the rural and developing them with the smart cities and also for developing the tourism and sending the things that are present in the country. That's why we need the smart countries.

Good day, I accept everyone points. According to my opinion, this not question of whether we need smart city or not. Everyone wants a smart city. No one will say no to that. But their views are first we must improve our villages and then we need to improve our cities. Smart cities is must. We need to upgrade us to next level. There are huge population in our nation, so ours is developing country, we need to improve our city for the benifit of us. In fact we are nowadays becoming a smart city. For eg, water scarcity must be avoided, employment issues must be overcomed, diseases should be cured. We are next generarations. We must improve our country.
