Yes, we need smart cities but maybe later. For now, we need to develop small cities and villages rather than building smart cities. There are many villages which at this age of technology don't have 24 hours electricity and also they don't have a reliable education system. There are still places which have a shortage of drinking water. Not only this, there are lots of problems which people are suffering on daily basis. So before smart cities, we need to update our current situation and maybe after 5-6 years, we will ready for that.

Yes, we really need a smart city. Firstly, I want to tell that what is a smart city? A smart city is that in which there is a proper facilities of education system, regarding health especially during women's delivery, good transportation system and electricity and proper water supply in the areas. These are some basic fundamentals needs for a people to live. A metro city and proper network or accessibility of internet should also provide in the city or villages so that people can update with the knowledge.

For me, the meaning of smart city is where transportation is easy basic living is free. And the country is poverty less. But now see what's happening around us we are so polluted that we have badly affected the ozone layer. We are so technology driven that we are killing our mother nature for our luxurious life. We are earning but at the same time, we are losing the true magic of living a life. So, yes we need a smart city which is safe for girls and rape free and full of opportunity.

As far as I'm concerned we don't need smart city because simply people not fallow the traffic rule, spitting on the public Place, the crime rate increases. We forward in technology for making India digital but before becoming a smart city we need to create smart people which think toward society.

Probably no. Because India belongs to those countries where all kind of peoples are lives. The rate of poor people is greater in comparing the rich people. I think if we develop a smart city then we must have to that kind of economy which will easily afford that. So, opinion is we should have to postpone this idea for the future when everyone could be ready for a smart city.

Hello Friends,

In India, there is need of Smar City is due to rapid migration of people from villages to city area and increase overburden over Basic Facility.

Like,

- Food.
- House.
- Road AND transportation.
- Education.
- And food.

In our India, 60% population is living in village and 40% living in city. Why govt will think for 40% people rather than the 60% people.

On one side govt was plan for Smart City but on another side in villages, there is problem of,

- Drinking Water.
- Unemployment.
- Health Facilities.
- Education.
- Lack of transportation Facility.
- Mobile network.

If govt could plan such way that the villages people are Make Happy in their own village by proper Employment And Education facility.

Then villages people stop migration from village to city and decrease the overburden over the facility if city. And it will not require to develop smart city in India.

If I talk about the smart city, initially people should be aware for the cleaning of the city like don't throw garbage on the road, use public toilets etc. First, step would be built public toilets in villages and place where development is necessary. If people will be aware from this all thing, 50% city will be changed into the smart city.

Yes, In my point of view, we really need Smart cities but with smart cities, we also need Smart villages. We all know that more than half of Indian population lives in rural areas. So for them we need Smart villages. Coming back to Smart Cities, we need them because:.

1. We are the fastest growing economy in the world. For maintaining the same pace of development, we need smart cities.

2. We are 7th largest nation in the world, 2nd most populated & the most important thing is that 8th largest economy in the world. How its look if we don't have any Smart city?

3. In current scenario, development is measured also on Smart cities due to this we need smart cities.

4. We are in Top-5 largest FDI getting country, MNC n other nations also want to invest in smart cities what if, if we don't have smart cities? Definitely, the inflow of FDI would reduce.

Atlast, I can say that India really needs Smart cities with Smart/Aadharsh Villages.

India is Progressing & we are developing.

Jai Hind!

Of course, we need smart cities but this is not the right time to have it. India is still among developing countries, a number of illiterate people is more than that of literate people. They even don't know to use smart phones so obviously smart cities will be of no use to them. Rather focusing on having smart cities we have many other zones which need our attention. Yes, I agree that in many past years condition of villages are improved now but still number of villages are untouched from government schemes today those villages need our focus. We all heard about how Tejas train conditions get worst afters its 1st day of starting. Actually, Indian people are not enough matured to handle smart cities. And we can't just copy western things, first we need to be smart then only we can afford smart cities.
