Do we really need Smart Cities?

I think so that "smart" is only one word to solve current problems in digital way. We can develop a normal city or village with good road, transportation facilities, Street lights, water chain, sewage treatment facility, garbage collection facilities and more. For that we can not use smart city word. This word is use for only capturing attention of all people.

First of all, we must understand, what a smart city is and what are the things that make a city smart. A smart city have facilities like smart street lighting, smart garbage collector system, smart parking and smart roads too. Till now, we don't have proper implementation of basic facilities in most of cities and rural areas of country. So, before thinking about smart cities we must be more inclined towards fulfilling the basic necessities of the country.

Yeah, we all need smart city because in my point of view smart city means where 24*7 electricity available, good connectivity and networking and good education facilities all are present that a smart city.

I agree some problem in city mean problem is population and pollution. But in India not only thin about smart city think about creating a more job and private investment because I also think any place where jobs and company are available this place is also converted is a city. I give one example all my friend some year ago build an engineering college in my town and today time this area is more beautiful in any place in town that's because of connectivity and networking and this collage creating more jobs in a local people.

Well, I think no. Actually we need smart people who know how to maintain the society and its culture in a proper way.

I think if there is an increment in smart people in our society then not only cities will become smart but also the rural areas and the whole nation will automatically become smart.

Hi everyone we are here to discuss the topic that do we really need smart cities? Yes, we need smart cities as India is more digitalizing and developing country.

To compete with other developed countries India needs smart cities. Also, we need to consider rural areas into account our government need to improve infrastructure and providing good facilities and also giving awareness about the smart cities to rural citizens, giving them good knowledge about the advantages of smart cities.

Thus by building smart cities, we can build a smart country ie smart India.

In my opinion, City area is much more developed than rural area so firstly develop the infrastructure of rural areas as well as provide the smart facilities to villagers and also give the to them about how to use those smart facilities. Today's urgent need is that equal development of rural areas as well as city areas and then we should not only develop the smart cities but also smart India.

I think that we need smart city but this time some rural area is not providing good electricity and water supply. Then first we need good electricity, drinkable water, hospital, school and good transport facilities for our rural area. We know that in India 60% population in the village and 40% population in city but 70% developing activity in the city so this time first we need develop rural area after that we can work on smart city and one main thing education will very important role for our country development. When we will provide good education theoretically and practically in every area then automatically people will make smart then our city will also be smart.

Smart City means providing a good Infrastructure to the people, doing work in smart ways and finding a smart solution for the problem.

In my opinion, a smart city is required because the smart city provides good infrastructure to the residents, such as water sanitation and 24 hr electricity supply etc. It also enhances the development activities of a region. The main aim of the smart city is "housing of all".

I think the smart city is needed and for that digital India is a very good option and for that government should arrange some seminar in a rural area about digital life. And also I think for smart city transportation facilities and frequency should be high as possible.
