Proper education system, employment and good hospitals are the basic needs of every people. Due to which most of the people ran towards the big cities, creating huge population there. What a smart city really means,
According to me, a place where a good education system, proper law system, good hospitals, proper traffic system, good technologies and proper water supply are there can be considered as smart city. If we are providing these facilities in small towns and cities, there will be decrease in migration of people from small towns to big cities. Ultimately there will less population in big cities and there will more no. Of smart cities. It will definitely help in the development of our country, although its a huge challenge for the government because it will needed a lot of budget but these initiatives will definitely lead to the of our country.

In my point of view, Smart City is like an aeroplane and what an aeroplane need for a safe flight is a good competent pilot if he is non-competent enough the plane may crash anytime. In the same manner we "the people" are the pilots of this plane called Smart City.
Suppose we are having an empty packet of chips or something then we throw it anywhere. Is this a quality of a citizen of a smart city? No. A smart citizen will search for a dustbin if he doesn't get it he will simply put the wrapper in his pocket to throw it in a dustbin at some other place. So the point is, first of all, we have to be smart then only we can think of smart cities.

I think there's a need for a greater number of smart cities. The changes I've witnessed when a nearby city was converted into a smart city were phenomenal. The cleanliness increases, people get better services, better connectivity, etc. This would, in turn, lead to a change in the mentality of people and would portray a picture of an ideal city in their minds. Even if these people shift to a "non-smart" city, they'd try to keep their surroundings clean since they are now used to living in a clean environment.
Due to these minute changes in our society, we'd be able to focus on other important things. Instead of bothering for an auto rickshaw from place A to place B, we'd be planning our day and other things of priority sitting in the punctual city busses. Thus, smart cities can lead to a change in mentality and would make our lives convenient.

According to me, we need smart cities for the betterment of our country. If we invest funds in making a smart city by providing good education, good facilities like hospitals, employment for the youth. India can progress in a way. We all know that India is a leading country in human resources. We have the best human resources. We can use it as a tool by providing the best education for our young generation rather than our people going abroad and working for them. Although, India is lacking poverty wise we can surely work upon that. But we can make our youth work for our country. Use our own human resources for the development of our country. And if we progress in doing so then yes India can surely become a developed country in the years to come. And also we can achieve the title of Smart Cities.

Hello friends, according to me there is an absolute necessity for smart cities to be developed for India to gain an accountable growth in GDP in terms of increase in revenue due to increase in firms and thus jobs as well as fostering foreign investments. Enhanced forex reserves mean a lot to developing Indian economy. But on the other hand, we need to first take care of the large sector of the unreserved and unserved population of our country in terms of basic eminities such as healthy food, water, shelter and basic education. Only when these concerns are addressed, a smarter India build-up is much more feasible and commendable.

Yes, We need smart cities. Smart cities are in fact a sign of development. There are many advantages of building smart cities, it provides employment, good educational facilities, health care and improves the quality of life. As per estimates around 25-30 people are migrating to cities in search of better life style. So, we need more cities to reduce the problems like overpopulation in already existing cities.
Smart cities also attract foreign companies to invest in India which again creates employment to Indians and the government also gets benefited by the taxes paid by the companies.
Currently, the world is in a digital era and with the current pace the world technology is growing, we Indians can't be left behind in terms of growth and technology.

According to me, smart cities are only effective if people get equal benefits from it. Corruption being the most important obstacle can be damaged by creating smart cities as there will be less man work in the middle and most of the things will be directly handled by the companies themselves. The smart cities mean getting proper educational institutions, health institutions, hospitals, etc. Monitoring the cities digitally will also reduce the security threats and the fear of getting cheated by a person.
I would like to conclude by saying that smart cities are required for the growth and betterment of people in the country.

Hello.
I believe that cities are made by people, the infrastructures and other non-living things are just the creation of human beings. To make a smart city we first need to make people smart, these discussions are just a part of what we think or believe but the major work that needs to be done is to implement those ideas and thinking. Smart cities are related to smart people.
People must get ready for the smart cities like taking an example of Tejas train, the condition of the train wasn't too good, people travelling stole the headphones from the train and the mirrors of the train were cracked, the tv screens were damaged, so if people can't handle the new ideas then how could you expect them to be living in smart cities.
Thus smart cities must be made after making people smart.

Yes, we need smart cities because we can't be at that level where we are now we need to improve because improvement is must for human development we already have metro cities which are well developed so the next step I believe should be smart cities but this is not true for small cities and villages where still we don't have basic facilities there we need to develope more before thinking about smart cities.

HI All,
We need smart cities because of it gives a lot of employment, the daily wage earners are not going to metropolitan areas to earning purposes.
Because of these smart cities, people are aware of the internet, what is the need of education, how to elect?
The Good politician without attracting money, all social activities they are seen.
But in My point view, Really smart cities are not required because of now our country faces a lot problems like food, poverty, farmers suicides, shelters, illiteracy like that.
