Yes, we need smart cities but instead of making our city smart first government should focus on the basic needs of the people like our literacy, food, water, home etc. If these requirements will be fulfilled then our people will be very smart to handle the result which will come after making our city smart. First makes the people smart then automatically city will be smart.

Hello friends, my name is Manali. And in my opinion, yes, of course, we need smart cities as India is a developing country. But I think not now, and after 4-5 years. Because before that we should think to developed those areas where people are still leaving on the footpath and alongside to tracks and we should give some contribution to developed those children who sell something in trains or at signals and they not go to schools. When all the people will be enough capacity to live in their own house n when no one will beg to live their life then only we should move to smart cities. Because then only our country is called developed and not when only some part of it is developed.

In my opinion, the people who live in India should be smart, if the people who live in India will become smart the city will automatically become the smart city.
I am not saying that the smart city should not be their in the India all I am saying is if the people of the city are illiterate and not smart to handle the digital gadgets then then there would be no sense of having smart city in India.

Yes, definitely India need smart cities in current word. If India wants to be one of the supreme powerful countries in the field of economy, defence, telecom, space etc it's cities must be developed. Because in such cities all needful things such as education, health facilities are always easily available to their citizen. If people become smart they start contributing in developing smart cities then India came out from the list of developing countries and go together with developed countries.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Yes, Smart cities enhance the developmental activities of a region. A lot of developmental activities such as building schools, organizations, shopping malls can take place. These activities benefit everybody including citizens, businesses, government and environment.

Hi.
In my point of view, there is no need to build a smart city, instead if people are educated and the basic needs required for the city are provided then automatically a city becomes smart with smart people.

Hello Everyone,
Smart cities mean those whose cities having the excellent facilities like educational, healthcare facilities, technology. In my point of view, India will really need the smart cities and also this is the right time to think about it. I want to add one thing before going to the topic.
In India, 60-70% of the people are living in rural areas and only 30-40% of the people are living in towns/cities. In rural areas, the people are always fighting to fulfil there common needs like higher education, health facilities. Etc. First of all, Governments will focus on rural areas to facilitate the basic needs to the peoples living in the rural areas.
And also, correspondingly focus on the development of the smart cities. Otherwise, our country is always in the "developing countries" list instead of developing countries. My grandfather said, "India is a developing country" to my father, my father said same to me and I will say the same to my children as well.
So, My point of you sustainable developing is needed.

Yes, we want, but in a smart city, all the comfortable zone things should not be made. Because in early days many peoples worked hard and the hard work made them very strong in their fitness and also it made a happiness to them from their heart. But nowadays many inventions are done to overcome the work and make easier! but the inventions should be made but the whole city should not travel in these inventions itself! they can utilize but, if they can do the same work on their own they won't do on their own and must not use smart inventions.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Yes, we really need a Smart City. But there should not be developing in the urban areas only. The village should be developed.
I will give one example. Suppose I am staying in the village and I want to get higher education but unfortunately I'm not able to go to urban areas because of financial situation. So I think whatever there is in urban areas, it should also be in rural areas. So poor peoples can take advantages. Lastly, I want to say If we want smart city then, first of all, we need to develop our village.
