Do we really need Smart Cities?

At present we actually don't need smart cities till all our Indian citizens get their basic requirements, but on the other hand, we do need the smart cities in our country to cope up with world race and to uplift our Indian prosperity. But without education, building a smart city would be a huge mistake, the people in the rural areas don't even have education and proper understanding of today's technology.

But, yes, we do can build smart cities in our country, but only after the rural people get completely educated.

So this was my point of view in having a smart cities in our country.

Smart cities have been a dream of Indian people for many years as they largely contribute to the development of a country. Smart cities planning is very essential as the standard of living of an individual is enhanced. Smart cities development also contributes in terms of economy growth directly or indirectly.

The funds which are released by the government are used for road construction and drainage construction as well this leads to employment generation and also needs are there for machines to carry out the task in effective manner. Well in my opinion there is a need for smart cities in India for the economic growth of our country.

Smart cities in India is just like making-of the castle in air. India is the 6th economy in the world but stands at 122nd at per capita gdp. The population is major obstacles in the path of smart cities. I past years, the government declared the name of 100 smart cities that would be built in the future. But the whole concept failed as a huge amount of money required for this task.

Illiteracy is another region which will never allow making any city as smart, the live example is the new smart train in which the headphone is theft, such type of many examples is present in India.

Before making the city smart, people should be smart.

Yes, we need smart cities but not in terms of deteriorating anything that we already have. Like for making smart cities there are only cutting of trees and poor roads were seen nearby. For making smart cities need of lots of plantation and their maintenance required. One work should properly completed then start another if not possible to manage simultaneously like roads maintenance. Education, clean water, use of rainwater, proper drainage, transportation many more things in a queue. After working on that only cities become smart having smart educated people so that it will be maintained as smart. Not only on paper but in reality.

Hello, I think we need smart cities as well as we also should be a smart person to make it smart. We can do thinks without troubling. Make life easy all day to day activities also. Life Gonna simple. Travelling will be easy we go anywhere with phasing any problem. People also be aware of making cities clean and good. As well as a way if thinking of people improves so the crime will reduce it may be not done by anyone. Make Good community connecting people that help us to make a great environment. Of course, we need smart cities and as everyone already said development of the rural area is a major priority in order to make country smart.

I think education has always been a issue which is barrier for success. In rural area people doesn't have basic knowledge of what actually is happening.

For instance, movie "NEWTON" shows poor situation of election in our country. It reveals how people were being manipulated and they were giving votes without even knowing who was going to win.

Just want to say smart cities are required but this cannot be accomplished if people are not educated in their field.

The place/city where we have access of modern technology easily and ultimately help in evolving human lifestyle. Time will be the most important factor here as access of thing smartly help in saving time and money. Yes I agree that without people mind you cannot afford a successful smart city but at the same time you should also look that as the environment get better people also start getting used to that and hence it would be highly recommended to develop cities into smart cities.

Hello friends, according to me there is an absolute necessity for smart cities to be developed for India to gain an accountable growth in GDP in terms of increase in revenue due to increase in firms and thus jobs as well as fostering foreign investments. Enhanced forex reserves mean a lot to developing Indian economy. But on the other hand, we need to first take care of the large sector of the unreserved and unserved population of our country in terms of basic eminities such as healthy food, water, shelter and basic education. Only when these concerns are addressed, a smarter India build-up is much more feasible and commendable.

According to my opinion, smart city means all basic needs and facilities are available in a smart city like good transportation, education facilities, law and order, clean water, proper electricity etc.

Every one wants such like facility but making cities smart India can not become smart because giving facilities to city make smart but in India most of people live in village and they have not basic facilities like good education facility, transportation, clean water, good hospitality etc.

We want to really smart India so we need to make India smart not only cities.

Yes, according to me, we required smart cities. This is one of the steps towards the development of the country. India is populated country, so for getting the facilities to each and every person smart city is required. With help smart city development many people get employment which will help to improve the economic status of the country. Smart city will help to improve the lifestyle of our people.

But before the development of the city, our government should develop the villages as a smart village. According to our great leader, Mahatma Gandhi moving toward development of village will help to develop the country and city.
