I understand that being the youth of this generation most of us want a smart cities so that people who think of settling abroad can change their mind and can take the benefits of being raised in smart cities which is a good thought but on the other hand to build a smart city we all need to bring education to the 1st place as we all know most of the Indians are still uneducated and they don't even know what smart means. And trust me most of us also feels that living a lavish life and carrying a smart phone is the step for living in the smart city but the fact is un till and unless people will not get correct education India will never have smart cities.

In my opinion, smart cities can only be developed when people are smart and adopt smart ways to do their things. Smart cities mean 24*7 high-speed internet, 24*7 hospital causalities treatment, etc. Till today, people are throwing waste here and there on the ground. So, dustbin should be installed all over the city. Children should also have proper education. Smart cities means increase in employment. Our country can only develop when each person is employed in one or the other sectors of work. When each person is educated, is independent and adopts smart ways to do the work, our country will develop. Yes, we need smart cities and it is a slow process.

Yes, we need smart cities because smart cities provide good infrastructure, water facilities, employments, good roads, highways, etc which are use ful for the development of India. Though smart cities has disadvantages like pollution from industries, vehicles, and CFCS from ACS refrigerator etc smart cities there are some agreements like Paris climate deal etc so for development India has a need for smart cities.
For pollution from vehicles, we can reduce by using electric vehicles instead of fuel and also the way of afforestation will reduce all these disadvantages even if we build smart cities. So, to become developed country we need smart cities.

A really interesting feature of smart cities is foreign collaboration. Lots of developed nations are coming and Offering help and experties and technologies in various fields like sanitation, proper waste disposal, traffic.
Controlling, and security. If our government successfully implement the ideas in these smart cities the quality of life will increase. Besides government can later apply all these modern technics in other cities as well.
But building something is easy, what is tough is maintaining. Lots of time we notice there are new infrastructures is built but due to lack of proper maintenance and care those end up in dilapidated conditions.

In our point, need cities converted into smart cities. Because, many city people facing a lot of problems daily such as water shortage, scarcity of electricity, travelling on congestion various traffic problems. After converting a smart cities gradually reducing their problems. Sometimes Rural people living in a city for working, they need a government school and hospitality. Hence come into a smart cities following facilities will be come here. Main concern of every city people is pollution, after smart cities the government will order to using some specific vehicle less pollution. So finally pollution reduced, people enjoying to live in cities.

Absolutely smart cities are the things we needed to get access a to our things on tips. We can't deny that the tagline is perfectly suitable for smart cities is " where ever you go we follow" they will help us in making our life easier.
Recently, I had read that in a Europe with the installation of smart meters there is a decrease in the number of Electricity thefts and power loss in transmission by keep monitoring of electricity from a utility to consumers.
Some adverse affect of smart cities are also their we will be relying on a machine for our work, there will be a degradation in the health of the humans, there will be more unemployment.

In my point of view, Smart City is like an aeroplane and what an aeroplane need for a safe flight is a good competent pilot if he is non-competent enough the plane may crash anytime. In the same manner we "the people" are the pilots of this plane called Smart City.
Suppose we are having an empty packet of chips or something then we throw it anywhere. Is this a quality of a citizen of a smart city? No. A smart citizen will search for a dustbin if he doesn't get it he will simply put the wrapper in his pocket to throw it in a dustbin at some other place. So the point is, first of all, we have to be smart then only we can think of smart cities.

India wants to be a superpower, but first, it has to get into the list of developed countries. The conditions of lots of cities of India is worse. They don't even have proper hygiene facilities, educational facilities, full of pollution and a lot more. And we are talking about smart cities! First, these things should be taken care of, if India gets these problems solved then we can think of smart cities, but first we need good cities.

To be the "BEST" you have to be the "GOOD" first. It is the part of the journey. You can't directly become the best.

Good morning everyone,
In my point of view, yes we do really in a dire need of smart cities.
A smart city is not just about technology evolution and evaluation, but a development as a whole. A smart city is one which inculcates all specific needs, substances that is an aid to human as well as nation fundamentals. Smart city will be an entity, that act on skill development, make in India, digitisation, boost to entrepreneurial skills, environment, culture, tradition, and many more. Smart city as a whole represent the local, regional and national development, and will be the insurmountable success on the international platform.
Thank you.

Developing smart cities are really a good initiative taken by government to connect the society with our modern technologies but for lower class people, it is still a challenge to understand such kind of things.
High poverty rate and the rate of death of farmers indicate that priority area investment is missing somewhere. Apart from that our recent connectivities like trains and public places are misused by our people themselves. So it will be only a matter of time when smart city will become dirt city.
So conclusively, India needed to invest money more in agriculture and the basic needs of people rather than making smart cities for now.
