Good evening to one and all.
In my point of view, smart cities surely give development but when? If people are well educated, well matured, well disciplined etc etc. Initially we have to give respect to every woman and we have to treat women is equal to boy why because now a days in every field women's playing crucial role so we need to encourage them and then development will be achieved faster when boys and girls work each other and we have to create some awareness programs for village people and for uneducated people we have to educate them and govt of India should follow strict rules. In foreign countries throwing a paper will also be penalized but in India throwing scrap and splitting on roads is very common we need to change the system if we do these things then surely every city is a smart City in India.

Hey guys,
My opinion is, we definitely need smart cities, more in number rather. Over the past two decades or so we didn't come up with more number of cities and thus resulting in investing in the already existing cities (good but) resulting in concentrating the population over there and thus environmental pollution thus booming the cities. If we see china over the last 4 decades there has been increase in the number of cities in an huge manner, which led to the development of the country in faster way, be it economic growth. The increasing movement of people from rural to urban requires more number of new cities rather more number of smart cities (where there are modern technology according to improving lifestyle). Thus creation of smart cities is a must for increase in the rate of development of the country.

Hi.
As such There is no any definition for Smart Cities. But according to concept Of Smart Cities in one Word It is A Perfect System.
People comes in Cities to have more advanced life but we knows how they live nothing advanced rather than Rural area provides good life amd ecofriendly environment So to make it Implement in urban Areas Smart City Concept Arise.
There People Can Mobilize By use Of ICT (Information and Communication Tech. ) And IoT (Internet of Things) which makes a direct Communication Between Community and City Officials to Monitor Work is Going on or where it has Reached and all.
And The main Factor is Sanitation, Waste disposal, Climate Change in Urban Areas So try to overcome this, Smart city will have Good Solution and Economic Restructuring And Less resources Consumption will be There.

Hello Guys,
In my opinion, the root cause of many problems in India at macro level is huge population which is unevenly distributed over the country. There are parts of country which are overpopulated because of resources and standard of living like Mumbai. In reality this standard is deteriorating because of congestion and cost of living. Government spending on these areas would have a very short lived positive impact. In order to have long term positive impacts population from these areas need to be diluted. Here smart cities or smart villages would play a significant role. Now a days many huge private organisations are adopting particular village and developing it as part of Corporate Social Responsibility. These steps would render developmental activities and spending by government effective in long run.

Hello Everyone;.
A city with rich resources& technologies, Pleasant& enriched atmosphere and following many advanced plans for its location growth said to be smart city.
As all these features are stepping into drastic growth of a location its surely essential to form a smart city.
Example:.
Remote areas - - - - - >.
Lack of road system, water supply, unsecure living zone.
No awareness on any program (technology, . ).
Network Problems, a communication problem.
No hospital facility, schools.
Smart Cities- - - - - - >.
The Technology used for real time applications (military, navy, nation growth).
Comfort living environment.
Higher educations opportunity.
This how a smart city provides many facilities.
Conclusion: Smart City development is one of the best steps for our nation's growth.

Of course, we need smart cities but this is not the right time to have it. India is still among developing countries, a number of illiterate people is more than that of literate people. They even don't know to use smart phones so obviously smart cities will be of no use to them. Rather focusing on having smart cities we have many other zones which need our attention. Yes, I agree that in many past years condition of villages are improved now but still number of villages are untouched from government schemes today those villages need our focus. We all heard about how Tejas train conditions get worst afters its 1st day of starting. Actually, Indian people are not enough matured to handle smart cities. And we can't just copy western things, first we need to be smart then only we can afford smart cities.

In my opinion, at the present time there are much more things that need our attention.
About half of the population of India residing in villages, jhuggis, we really need to think is having a smart city justifiable.
Instead of investing money to form smart cities, we should rather need to develop villages and provide basic requirements for a healthy living for the people living in those villages. Developing smart cities will abridge the gap between the holistic development of India as a nation. We have to understand that our farmers from whom we get to satisfy our stomach are mostly the residents of the village and thus their development will lead to the development of village as a whole. So, we should find out ways to develop villages to form Cities rather than forming cities into smart cities.

According to me, we need smart cities for the betterment of our country. If we invest funds in making a smart city by providing good education, good facilities like hospitals, employment for the youth. India can progress in a way. We all know that India is a leading country in human resources. We have the best human resources. We can use it as a tool by providing the best education for our young generation rather than our people going abroad and working for them. Although, India is lacking poverty wise we can surely work upon that. But we can make our youth work for our country. Use our own human resources for the development of our country. And if we progress in doing so then yes India can surely become a developed country in the years to come. And also we can achieve the title of Smart Cities.

Hello everyone,
Firstly, according to me, one should be aware of what the smart city is. Smart cities concept integrates information and communication technology (ICT), and various physical devices connected to a network (IoT) to optimize the efficiency of city operations and services and connect to citizens. So, obviously, we need it, as it will enhance our skills, knowledge, connectivity, acquaintance with technology and all. But before this, we need to fulfil our basic requirements. Because without having our foundation strong how can we think of its beauty, we all know that we are lagging behind at many aspects, like literacy, fooding, employment, security and all.
So, according to me, we need to first improve our living, then will think of its standard, definitely.
Thank you.

Hello.
I believe that cities are made by people, the infrastructures and other non-living things are just the creation of human beings. To make a smart city we first need to make people smart, these discussions are just a part of what we think or believe but the major work that needs to be done is to implement those ideas and thinking. Smart cities are related to smart people.
People must get ready for the smart cities like taking an example of Tejas train, the condition of the train wasn't too good, people travelling stole the headphones from the train and the mirrors of the train were cracked, the tv screens were damaged, so if people can't handle the new ideas then how could you expect them to be living in smart cities.
Thus smart cities must be made after making people smart.
