I don't think that India democracy is hampering the India's progress. Because we all want to have a right to say our point of view. We live what we want and it does when we belong in the democratic country. Yes, I agree that many of people in India are take this in a wrong way but still there are some people who spend their life with honestly. And we have a right to do against the poor people whose harm our society but first of all we correct ourselves because most of the do many things which are not right. So it is not correct that we blame our democracy system.

No, this is not true. Democracy gives us the right to select our administrator but what are we doing we choose those people who are not capable for this post. This is our mistake we can't say democracy is hampering India's progress. Democracy is that in which we can fight for our rights but we want to change our nation but we can't do anything for it and blame the policy of democracy.

No. Democracy is theoretically best political system.

It is Illiteracy, poor quality of education system, psychological negativity, lack of patriotic culture, poor leadership which is hampering India's progress.

A great leader can only change the future of India. Ancient India had one of the world richest and cultured dynasties on earth. Those were ruled and guided by great emperors or leaders.

So India waits for that leader again. It will come. Time cycle will repeat and we will prosper.

I don't agree that democracy is hampering the progress of the country. If we talk about the USA, there is also same and is a super power in the world but? Is that why not India foremost reason behind it is ourself because in our country most of people have no sense of choosing their representative they don't examine govt's previous performance and achievements they cast vote on caste, religion, party system basis and get influenced by some schemes of providing thinks free of cost all these things diverted govt attention from real issues, infrastructure, fundamental reforms in education, industry, health and other social reforms and govt concentrate on polices, programmes and schemes that can attract people and ensure victory because they easily know that most of the people in our country don't know what's actually govt did in various sector. Apart from it a lot of people are strongly attached to political parties they ignore the image, education, and capabilities of the particular candidate. All these things are responsible for country'progress.

No, of course not.

The problem is that educated people in our society are not interested in such politics.

They just after education go to USA, France, etc

Democracy Is over rated I have to say. Monarchies Have restrictions more control. This Setup has helped several Arabic nations in strengthening their society and economy, they are filthy rich :p. Any form of government with basic understanding of People's rights is a good form of government. In India, democracy has resulted in MPs and ministers growing rich and more corrupt. Our textbooks may say that democracy results in more sensible, accountable decisions, in India, We are so sensible and intelligent that we take years to muster up good policies and infrastructure. Above all our justice system has several loop holes in it because of The extensive rights every citizen gets in the justice system. Here ppl are being raped every day and Only half of thE A HOLES are convicted while in Several monarchies Across the world they are beaten to death. Long story short, democracy isn't heaven. Democracies are based on the rulers and the view of the citizens. For us, our time's too damn bad and So democracy is hampering our progress.

Perhaps, I do not think that democracy is hampering the progress of our country because in Democratic government every person has right to express his or her views every common man has same power which doesn't happen in Monarchy system. So democracy should be remain but there is a need to change some of the rules which create problems.

The democracy is not the best way to rule a country or neither its the bad system. But in case of great nation like India and because of its large area democracy is the best way because it will creat a chain of command to the whole country. Because if there is one leadership the unity of India should come in danger.

I think democracy is the best way to prosper India.
