Can we dream of hosting the Olympics?

Yes, we can dream of hosting the Olympics because India is now strong in economically than the previous time.

To organize the CWG 2010, Asian Olympics games, t20 cricket every year, international cricket matches successfully in our country proves our ability.

We need to learn from our previous mistakes like corruption, poor infrastructure and to improve it.

Before to organize international events, govt should spend money on our talented players to provide them world class coaching, good diet, infrastructure, equipment so that they will win more medals.

To conduct the Olympics, Our country will give a good message at an international level that we can do anything.

My last suggestions that govt should spend money on all players not only winners. Example- state and central govt have been given crores of rupees to Shakshi Tanwar but the players who given their best in a game but could not get medals are poor. I think govt should look all equally.

Yes, we can dream but for that, we need a huge amount of money to set up a great infrastructure for hosting Olympics. To achieve this dream we have to set up a great coordination of time, manpower, money with political support. We need to eliminate corruption and terrorist activities to give 100% security for hosting this event at this big stage. The Government should make a plan A, B and C by following others hosting nation's strategy. But before dreaming this mega event first of all we need to create a proper infrastructure with 100 % security.

According to me, yes, we can dream of hosting the Olympics because our country is taken as big step as possible for the growth of us and our leaders are mentally strong enough to dream such thing for our country betterment.

As we show an example of Rio Olympic those who got a medal for our country and feel pride our nation then government gave them a huge amount of money that represent our nation is capable of hosting Olympics also that gives our country a good image for others.

Yes, we can dream of hosting Olympics. Our country is the fastest growing economy in the world. History shows that we have the potential. Asian games, common wealth games, cricket world cups, IPL, ISL and now under 17 football world cup. This shows that we have the ability to organise international games. But practically hosting a mega event like Olympics games is not possible so far for now. It needs very strong infrastructure, capital and political support. First, we should make proper stadiums for diverse games, proper accommodation and should emphasise on Security. Also organising such a mega event means incurring billions of government money which can be used to eliminate poverty or can be invested in the agricultural sector which will help to curtail the suicide of poor farmers. In my opinion, first, we have to make backbones of economy enough strong and should eliminate poverty at maxim extent and then only we will able to host such games more conveniently and efficiently.

In reality, India should not host Olympics until it becomes developed in an economy, infrastructure, sports culture, security and until it can reduce corruption that may occur in organising. In the present scenario, we notice that the different budgets like health, railways etc is not sufficient enough to improve the standard of infrastructure and lifestyle of Indians. For eg- the government is failing to cater all the needs of a farmer, then how can India host Olympics? Moreover, only a few sports are encouraged by the government and also enjoyed by the people. So, first many players are to be developed in different kinds of sports. So, if India wants to host the Olympics, then the government should work towards improving the economy, sports culture, security, corruption reduction. If it becomes successful in these aspects, then India can host Olympics.

Yes, we can definately host olympics. Commonwealth games that are a world level event was hosted in 2012 by India. The only thing that is required is to promote sports culture in India and we should give equal importance to other games apart from cricket. More sports infrastructure is required and PPP model can be adopted for this it will lead to the reduction in cost as well as time.
