Can we dream of hosting the Olympics?

Hello everyone.

According to me, we are not in a condition of hosting Olympics. It's better for us to utilize our resources in a better way. What will we get if we organize Olympics just name and fame, instead of this we should plan how can we develop our country? Many of my friends will say that it will give more employment opportunities but I believe that are for short time period and we need to search opportunities for a long time period.

Once we organized a commonwealth game and we all know how bad was the facilities that we provided to international players. Politicians of our country are interested in making money so if we organize Olympics only politicians will get the benefit.

We are facing more crucial problems like inflation, unemployment, overpopulation so we need to focus on these problems first and after that, if we are able to host the Olympics then we can otherwise not.

A dream for hosting the Olympic games in India is such as Cricket world Cup hosted by Afghanistan (Just got the entitlement to play test cricket). There are two dreams, one is hosting it and another is achieving some medals in this game. Though our participants give their best. But still, there is a need of some more efforts to let our country rule the list as we do in Cricket world cups or any match. If we are able to get to top 5 countries in medalist then we can somewhere think of hosting the Olympics. I personally feel that there is a lack of support provided by our Govt to these Olympian players. The way we support Indian cricket team, in that same manner we need to support other players of different sports background, this would lead to more medals in the favour of India and then we are capable of hosting Olympic Games because indirectly Olympic Games is a highly budgeted game.

Yes, we can dream & able to Host Olympics.

Currently, we are going to organize FIFA Under-17 World Cup. In history as well, we have very good experience in organising. We hosted Cricket World Cups, Asian Games & the most important was Common Wealth Games. If we have organised these big events then why don't we able to organise Olympics. We are best in all aspects. Our security is best, our economy is going to be best soon, our people are best so we are able to dream of hosting Olympics. We able to bear all the expenses of Games. "We are the 8th biggest economy in the world" & if still, someone says that India is a poor country then that is his/her problem. These people are not aware.

We have the 3rd largest army in the world, the best Commandos NSG, MARCOS etc. No one can point out any black Spot on our hosting in history so why don't we able of hosting Olympics.

Yes, we can host Olympics. Because after the bidding process a city gets almost 7 years of time to prepare.

And upgrade its infrastructure. We did arrange the commonwealth games in 2010 successfully.

Hosting Olympics will be highly beneficial for our neglected athletics, and other sports. Many new players.

Will emerge and perform well in the world stage.

Olympics will boost our tourism sector and overall infrastructure of our country.

But from economics perspective should we arrange Olympics?

The answer is NO. Because if we look in history every country that hosted the Olympics before experienced.

Economic slowdown. Arranging Olympics is very costly affair. For example in 2008 Beijing China spent.

40 billion $, in 2016 Rio the cost was almost 20 billion $. And we all know 2004 Athens Olympics they.

Spent 15 billion $ that lead to the current Greek economics crisis.

According to me, yeah, definitely we can dream of hosting the olympics. Olympics is the greatest sporting event in which participants are from different kind of countries, nations. So we can't only think of dreaming of hosting the Olympics, we should organise this. By organising this type of large event, we can develope our country as much as possible. Through organising this type of event in the village area, not only we increase the employment rate for villagers but also no of students or children will get the chance to participate in it and also It will attract foreigners for come in India which also help in developing our country. But we have to much pretty sure that all the things which are required for organising the Olympics are completely fullfilled by country just like proper planning, proper management team or finance. So it should be organise in India also.

Olympics is more than just a great business, it is representing the nation on global level. It's a matter of pride for every country. It promotes sport, tourism and foreign investment by showcasing country's culture and heritage.

Over the past few years, our country has shown an exponential growth in sports and this would promote worldwide interaction.

India has a vast amount of land resources and can provide great varieties of arenas to compete.

With current growth in rate of GDP, our country is an exciting prospect for organisers.

AGAINST.

For our country, with this alarming amount of poverty and illiteracy, sending a big chunk of financial money for Olympics seems like a luxury we can't afford as of now.

The risk of security can't be neglected.

Demonetization has made it extremely difficult to conduct proper financial exchange for individual tourists.

As we all know India is a developing country. And yes dreaming of hosting the Olympics is not a problem at all. With such a vast population, the youth of our country calls to be motivated. Our country has been a talent hub already, as we all have been hearing stories of Mr. Sachin Tendulkar, Marry Kom, Sindhu & many more to come. It's government's very responsibility to make this dream into reality. A dream is made into reality by working towards it. After demonetization our country has been not stable economically, so improving that should be the first target. We need to undertake infrastructure to host such a huge event. Corruption needs to be controlled. Last and not least hospitality. Our country is recognized when it comes to tourism & we should maintain it by giving a respectful hospitality to our guests. So Yes, it can be achieved.

Yes, we can dream of hosting Olympics because we are people of a developing country. But we cannot change our dream into reality right now. This is because Olympic is a big event so before taking the onus of such event we first have to stabilised our economy socially, economically and politically.

Organizing Olympics required a huge amount which if India will invest this will lead to economic crises.

Also, as we all know Common Wealth Games held in Delhi 2010 lead to many controversies. There is no good provision for the people as 71 countries participated. So before organizing such big event, we have to develop our infrastructure and government pay attention for providing world class training and equipment to our players.

So we can conclude that our country has no lack of talent need for Olympics but we need is a proper system.

According to my point of view, even though conducting Olympic games is pride for India, just think about the condition of India.

1. A lot of money needs to conduct Olympics in India and also good infrastructure is needed. In India there are many things to improve (roads, arena, etc), first, we have to improve that. Still, India is developing country. First, we should change India as developed country.

2. In India, politics are corrupted. They (politician) never allow the talented person to come forward.

So that India always got less no of gold medals in Olympic.

3. Amount spent for 2006 Olympics is only 5000 crore.

Beijing Olympic spent 28000 crores in 2008, but Indian government recorded that they spend 70000 crores for Olympic in this most of the money are scammed.

So I think it is better not conducting Olympic games in India nowadays.

In a developing country like India, where the poverty and unemployment rate is very high, It would be foolish to have a dream of hosting Olympics. Olympics is an international sports event which requires a large capital of investment.

According to me, our country should first focus on removing poverty so that every single individual can sleep after taking the meal. The country should first try to resolve its internal issues rather than hosting and wasting money on such events.

It would be the pride for our country if we'll be hosting Olympics but it should be done after removing poverty and the unemployment. Because saving the lives of our country's people is more important than hosting the Olympics. Moreover, the record shows that India had never played much better in the Olympics. So, it's better of not dreaming of hosting the Olympics.
