Can we dream of hosting the Olympics?

Yes, we can dream of hosting the Olympics. India is a developing country and it is capable of hosting. It will also help us create our own identity worldwide and national wide. Every sport have its own kind of flavour. We have to dream first to become it a reality.

Hosting cricket is way different from hosting Olympics games.

Even when you compare ICC WC with FIFA WC, ICC WC is nothing in front of FIFA WC.

Yes, Its may be bitter but that's the truth.

In FIFA WC 32 countries participate in ICC WC roughly 8-10 countries participates.

Hosting any big event required finance, infrastructure, facilities etc.

We lack some of this.

Under great leadership of NATIONAL CORRUPT PARTY; we saw what happened with commonwealth games.

Under BJP we can see development.

I'm not talking on the behalf of BJP.

Many of you are not familiar that India is hosting FIFA U17 WC this year.

If we saw positive results in FIFA U17 WC,

Than we can saw that we are in right direction in hosting Olympics games in future.

Yes, definitely we can dream as well as capable also for hosting the Olympics. India has more youngest ppl than other country this will encourage youth towards game. Today's youth are not attracted towards game except cricket, hosting Olympics gives focus on other games also which needs to be emphasize along with proper facilities and coaching but this will result in heavy infrastructure expenses which need to be compensated through public private partnership we should encourage to private billionaire to Spencer this.

My answer to this question will be a big no.

Although India is capable of organizing, but it will require a huge amount which India can't afford at this point of time.

India lacks stability economically and politically both. We all are familiar with the scam that occurred in 2010 Commonwealth Games. India is a developing country. Instead of spending a huge amount on Olympics, Indian government can use the funds for benefits of our farmers and the citizens of India. Olympics will lead India towards economy slowdown which will lead towards economic crisis. So its better to backout from organising Olympics.

Yes, we can. India does have all the resources to fulfil the demand of Olympic games. Say finance, land area, manpower, proper planning commission etc. Where we lack is a proper execution of plans and if this problem is solved India is a superpower then. As we all know after the commonwealth games of 2010 India is looked upon as a country with a poor execution and standards. If the youth of today decide to overcome this we can surely host the Olympic games in our country. If we move forward with a positive outlook it can be a great opportunity to retrieve our lost prestige.

Hosting of Olympics is a prestigious issue for the most of the countries, as it will reflect the luxuriantness of the country. But the people tend to view sugar-coated reality, by viewing it in the perspective of the prestige of a country. Millions of dollars is spent by the country that is going to host olympics, for creating infrastructure for new stadiums and expansion of capacity of present stadiums, and the worst part of the organisation is the misuse of the funds allocated for the purpose of infrastructure, as there is evident example of this, in our country which is CommonWealth games scam. Olympic hosting is not that important as the country needs to address the most serious issue of our nation i.e malnutrition. After addressing these basic problems it's better to concentrate on hosting of Olympics.

Off-course we can dream of hosting Olympics because it's the source to increase the gap of our country. Due to this the tourism of our country will increase and people from different countries will attract by the beauty of our country and they will try to visit in different areas of our country, it will also be the source to increase the gdp. By hosting Olympic we will have the better opportunity to show our hidden talent.

Yes, we can dream of hosting the Olympics. We have hosted CWG in 2010 in New Delhi and FIFA under 19 world cup this year. These type of events show that India is ready to host any mega event. And we can bid for the Olympics 2032. In these 15 years of the span, India would be more developed and sports would be more encouraged. And India has a gigantic followership of sports.

But the main problem in organizing these types of mega-events is corruption at large scale. We have witnessed corruption in CWG New Delhi. And it may happen in the Olympics also. Otherwise, we have good infrastructure for sports and in near future, it will be better. So we can definitely dream of hosting the Olympics.

YES. WE CAN DREAM BUT CAN ONLY DREAM can't make it practical. India should dream of hosting olympics. In 2010, during commonwealth games, international media has put up many questions on games and security arrangements. They don't even complete their arrangements under ultimatum. In 26/11, only 10 militants have blazed and shaken the Mumbai. Which shows the negligence of the government toward the security system. So forget to provide security for such international event. And by the way.

There are lots of work for our leaders to do in our country related to development instead of hosting Olympic. So they shouldn't waste money. First, India should Also make themselves a challenger type country in sports. China 150 medals won the match by two goals in 20 years and 20 minutes respectively. Media make them a big hero. So Olympics in India is just like the opposite to each other. In India, only two things run first is politics and second is cricket. So India is a good place for hosting election campaign and a tournament like silly IPL.

Why not ? India has always aimed for development and optimism is necessary to achieve it. Olympics can be very well organised in India and this would lead to many advantages for India.

But,

India should opt for organizing Olympics maybe in 2028. It is so because the present needs of India is education and not recognition. Indians should be educated about cleanliness, tourism, etc, then only they will be able to respect foreign visitors and foreign players. Also better infrastructure and security system should be developed for success of the event which will take time.
