Yes, we can dream of hosting Olympics one day, why I am saying this is, already we have hosted commonwealth game in our country, so if we do a work that we did for commonwealth it could happen, and also we have to give proper arrangement to the players and mainly we should give the food what they will eat in their country and one important thing is we should give protection.

Just about economic problems. If you spend million of dollar for building up infrastructures and facilities for hosting Olympics and then don't know how to use these things effectively so it's not the big deal.

Hello, I am Mihir.
In my opinion, it would be a great opportunity for a developing country like India to host the Olympics, such a big and prosperous global sports event. Before that, we have to understand the situation of the country. An event like the Olympics needs extraordinary infrastructure as well as a big, rather pretty much, amount of money to host. For a country like India, in which about 100 million people come under the category of middle class or lower middle class, India shoud should avoid. Not the only reason, sorry the quote the level of corruption, the mindset related to sports in Indian households needs to be changed before bringing the event to India.
Consider Indian cricket for reference, which was not very poor around 2011, but for some states like Odisha Chattisgarh whose are still not able to make it into the Indian team, let alone the IPL till now. But after 2017, when younger players were introduced in ipl, showcase extra ordinary performance along with the monetary support they got from cricket, the mindset of sports is now shifting towards cricket. So I think first, We should rather govt should promote Olympic sports and allocate sufficient budget, as a player in the IPL got almost 30cr, which an Olympic player can not even earn in 30years. That's why we should promote our sports infrastructure as well as change the mindset regarding Olympic sports.
India definitely has infrastructure, but you should look into it deeply. Like my college has one big building which can accommodate many offices along with 2, 3 branches operating in a building, but the base of the building is so weak that it has been under repair for about 5 years to work properly. Similarly, there are plenty of computers there, but the status of computers in college labs we all know. That's why having infrastructure is not the point; clean means corruption less infrastructure with maintenance is required.
Definitely, by hosting the Olympics, India would jump to a position above some countries, but the trade-off is also massive for a low-GDP country like India.
