Can we dream of hosting the Olympics?

Olympics is a big event in sports in which a no of games are played among players of different countries. It has been playing in different countries but never in India.

Of course India can host the Olympics but before that govt should focus on infrastructure for sports and increase no of sports academies for rural area players. To host the Olympics it requires a huge amount so govt should focus on basic necessities of the poor instead of hosting the Olympics.

There are some merits also.

Firstly, tourism in India will increase it also increase foreign companies in India and encourage them to place in our country it will decrease unemployment. It will attract foreigners. At last, I want to say it is not a question can we host the Olympics question should be this how it impacts on our country.

Of course, we can. When we can host commonwealth games why can't we host Olympics? The only difference would be that it would be on a large scale thus will require more contribution to make it successful.

So, first of all, India will need to improve its infrastructure. Without proper infrastructure, no sports can be played. But more importantly by infrastructure, we don't need only big buildings but what we require is sports complex with the most updated technology which should be at par with rest world.

Secondly and I think personally the most significant is there should be proper drinking and sanitation facilities so that players do not face any kind of difficulties.

Thirdly, India needs to improve its road and problem of traffic should be properly dealt. Right now, maximum cities of India are facing frequent power cuts. So the problem of electricity should be completely eradicated because without light we can't do anything. Last is that Indians need a little more hospitable and there are various reports in the news that we call some other country people by some names which should not happen in any case. As being Indian, we are carrying our nation's pride and by making fun of others and by teasing them and calling them with names is just showing how ill mannered we are.

India is a country of welcoming people believing in Athithi Devo Bhava. So we can definitely represent and host Olympics and let people know what they missed till now.

Yes, we can definitely dream of hosting Olympics but now is not the right time.

It is actually a luxury at this moment when we are hit badly by demonetization and other issues of corruptions and scams. Presently we need to focus more on improving ourselves- our sports, infrastructure and management.

Recognize hidden talents in sports, train them and help them to step into the limelight. Appoint experienced coaches, provide nutritious food, respect and encourage growing talents. Finally, we will reach a state where we will have well-trained players to win us more medals. Infrastructures will improve gradually and so will all other aspects we are lagging behind.

I believe that in the near future we can proudly host Olympics.

Yes, we can dream of hosting the Olympics because India is now strong in economically than the previous time.

To organize the CWG 2010, Asian Olympics games, t20 cricket every year, international cricket matches successfully in our country proves our ability.

We need to learn from our previous mistakes like corruption, poor infrastructure and to improve it.

Before to organize international events, govt should spend money on our talented players to provide them world class coaching, good diet, infrastructure, equipment so that they will win more medals.

To conduct the Olympics, Our country will give a good message at an international level that we can do anything.

My last suggestions that govt should spend money on all players not only winners. Example- state and central govt have been given crores of rupees to Shakshi Tanwar but the players who given their best in a game but could not get medals are poor. I think govt should look all equally.

Taking a view on present situation India is not in a position to host the Olympic
few reasons are:

1) The basic and major problem for India is corruption,as it was in CommonWealth games.
it is very difficult to track corruption in Olymic scenario because the chain will be large.

2) India doesn't have a proper infrastructure to host the game, India is unable to provide its athletes with proper facilities, how will it provide facilities to athletes of about 205 countries participating in Olympic.
-> Moreover, you require more hotels for the migrating tourist guest.
-> Whole scenario of the city has to change.

3)Traffic management of Indian cities in normal working days, you know that very well we often stuck on traffic anytime anywhere. it can't be managed during the Olympic festival.

4)Security from Terrorist.
I also want our country to host OLYMPIC but the above reason act as real hurdle for our country.

Olympics, the most renowned and revolutionary sports event n celebrations, that includes 44 sports, and more than 200 countries participating in that. India is the best country for organising such event. The wonderful talent emerging from India is the source of desire for every Indian to host Olympic, just like our India have done in 2010 Commonwealth games.

Before organising such event a time duration is given to a country fo development of infrastructures. I think Indian manpower is huge enough to build a great infrastructure required for accommodation of huge guest countries, in India.

And also more overall we actually need is to develop our nation, and it requires each individual efforts to implement this. Poverty, unemployment, corruption, slum areas, etc these things should have to be eradicated.

Third thing is training. Our hard working enthusiastic sports playing youth should be given world class training, and an awesome support of the government in form of huge funds. They should ensure that a proper care is given to players of India, then only we can give care to other country players.

At last I think, we don't need an awesome infrastructure, but we need a quite sufficient infrastructure and a promise to support the players very nicely with proper care and world class training and, then one day will come hoisting an Olympics game will no more be a dream, but will become a dream come true.

Hosting the Olympics is not an easy task, as we know that India's performance in the past was terrible. So people lose hope of gold from our players. So definitely results in a fewer audience which is not economically beneficial.

Even, the popularity of cricket suppressed Olympics in India. So I think instead of waste a lot of money in hosting Olympics for nothing we should help needy farmers.

Hi, everyone. As far as I concern the failure of 2010 commonwealth game is a clear example of blatant corruption in India, this giant didn't even leave games. This dirty politics has contaminated sportsmanship as well. Before being a host of this world's greatest games event where all eyes will be on us and its an opportunity to showcase our ability indeed I would say the opportunity to alter its flaws of 2010 commonwealth games, we should first uproot the corruption. I would like to drag the attention towards where we stand in terms of medals in Olympics. We do not have a great statistics of winning medals, however, in spite of being cable of winning medals many do not get a chance to even participate. Hence, firstly we have to create an opportunity for our players then we can think about hosting it.

On this topic, I want to say that India is still not ready to host the olympics and the best examples the commonwealth games organized in India and what was the failure of the games = Corruption. India is the country that follow the rule of corruption that means that if the fund of a particular thing has to be come than that fund has to be passed through many hands to distribute the part from that fund.

We all know that India is contributing for the Indian players. India as compare to another countries is contributing very less on the players of the country and also not giving them a proper appreciation for their performance, automatically India is making the moral of the players down and they finally would not be able to perform well in the games.

Actually, the question which is asked is about dreaming so it's obvious we can dream of anything, even we can dream of organising FIFA. In my point of view, there is nothing bad in dreaming. I know it sounds little childish but the question should be more specific.
