Friends, it's all about the economic condition. If you are earning a good amount then you can go for a quality product. As India has a big part of the population under the poverty line so a major part of the population can't think about the quality of product instead of have them. But if we talk about the upper class then every people wants to have a quality product and they have the same. So I can say that we are not less quality conscious if we are able to afford.

Yes, I agree, I know our mindset is like this if we are getting more from somewhere then we give priority to that thing and many times it also proves as a good decision. But we don't do this every time. If we have enough money for something then we don't compromise with quality. Our quality compromises by our quantity (money).
In India we most of the people belong to a middle-class family. So sometimes to fulfill our needs we have to compromise with quality.

In my point of view, most of Indians are belong middle class family. They are not less quality concious. It is all about money if a person is rich then they buy quality product if the person can't buy products they purchase only which are affordable which fulfill their requirements. Indians always want quality product with minimum cost. But with the minimum cost is not provide a good quality product.
Inflation also plays a major role. In quality product.

I would like to say that Indians as a whole cannot be labeled as less quality conscious. As buying any kind of product in today's world depends on three basic factors-
1. Awareness of the buyer towards the quality factors of a product.
2. His/her financial capacity to buy that particular product.
3. According to a customer's personal need from the product.
So on this basis, I would say that it depends from person to person and not on an entire nation.

We can't tell that all Indians are like this because I thought its depend on upon the financial background. Low financial backgrounded people want more quantity with less price but it's totally different in rich people they need good quality products they do not bother about the quantity and price also but unfortunately most of the Indians are middle-class family so as myself I thought the financial situation decide the Indians quality conscious.

Hello, everyone, according to me, People in India are quality conscious. Irrespective of any class everyone wants to have good quality. Every people wants to get good quality, and good quantity in a good price yes I agree with the fact that economic factor plays an important role. Many people who have less money they compromise with quality. But people have money they don't compromise with the quality. So people in India are quality conscious.

In my opinion, Indians are both high quality and less quality conscious because not everyone can afford a good quality as India not only consists of rich and middle class but also poor. For example, if A uses olive oil, high-quality sunflower oil, high-quality basmati rice. B can afford sunflower oil and not that much good quality basmati and C cannot afford basmati rice and sunflower oil they use low-quality cooking oil and low-quality rice.

Hello everyone talking about Indian we are dealing with enormous population and in that case the very first objective is meet the demand of nation, for us quantity is first objective and quality is afterward, this is as much necessary also since as statistics can be seen that around 5% of population is rich enough who can fulfill their all demand and also consciousness exist for them, and rest of the population has to deal with their need.

Hello Everyone,
I can say that not all Indians are less quality conscious because its basically depends upon the income levels of the people. If one who are getting more income they are able to look for the quality but in India 55% and above of the people are below poverty so they look for the low quality, it doesn't mean that they don't want quality products, they want but the income level of that people are stopping them to buy quality.
