Hello, everyone. I want to add some point that quality is the primary requirement to fill our need. In daily life every Indian focus towards quality and cost. Sometimes generally people think that if any product has good quality then it's cost might be high, it is not true in every case. Indian focus on best in lowest or maximum possible way. And it is true all around the world.

I think This is a totally wrong perception that Indians are less quality conscious. Every single Indian prefer the best quality product, but in there buying capacity. India is still a developing country and more than 80 percent of the population belong to poor families. They can spend less for their need but it does not mean that less spending means less conscious about quality.

I think, people of India are not quality conscious. This is not because of lack of capital or financial resources but because of lack of awareness. Also, from the era of British Raj, Indians have lived a life of misery and have got addicted to pessimism and henceforth saving funds even if they have ample to feed generations to come. Indians have learnt saving and not spending.

Good evening everyone.

Talking about quality concscious, as per my point of view its not about India or some other country. Its totally depends on person to person, if someone is that much capable that he or she can afford anyone of their wish then they will not compromise with the quality and a person with poor background has to live their life as per their living standard.

Indians are intelligent. So in a country where intellectuality is high how people can be of less quality conscious or not aware of anything? why because Indians are very much capable of producing best quality goods and making those avail at less cost in the market to their consumers to their full satisfactory level. So they are both price as well as quality conscious.

Yea Indians are less quality conscious. This seems to be because no there is no pride in workmanship and because the focus is on functionalism rather than beauty. If everyone would focus on taking pride in their work and deliver a beautiful good or service things might change. But there seems to be no hope of that happening because most Indians are too cynical.

Hi, Friends,

I don't agree with this topic why because of everybody wants quality nobody wants less quality but it depends on their financial background. If they have enough financial support then they will go for the good quality otherwise, they go for the less quality. But in India, more poor people are there so that they go for less quality.

Thank you.

As my opinion, Nobody wants to buy bad quality products. It just depends on the financial condition. India is a developing country and here Majority of the population are middle and low class. So they need to think their budget before buying anything. So according to me, Indians are not less quality conscious rather situation make them less conscious.

Yes, India is less quality conscious why because let us take 2rupee rice what the govt provides this rice is mainly taken by poor people and the middle-class people also need money for their children or some things they need so they prefer to take that without seeing quality every one need quality but according to their situations they prefer this.

Hi,

I think since most of the Indians belong to a middle-class family so they believe in quantity over quality!

This is true for the poor people also. For example, a poor family would prefer buying more quantity of food than that of more quality in the same price. As for the rich people in India they believe in quality and brands obviously.
