A Person should not be too honest; Straight Trees are cut first

Hi, honesty is really best policy honest people always wins and they are remembered in life and also after life. The history is witness of this that there are numbers of people who were honest and now they are considered as successful people. Our nation believe in SATYAMEVA JAYETE (Truth alone prevails). So we should be honest first with our-self then with others.

I think and support that people should be honest. You may get fame, money and happiness by lying (for now) but at the end of the day, you will certainly fall. But if you are honest and speak the truth, though you might not get all the things that you want/wished for at that particular time, but after a certain period of time, you will definitely get your reward and that's for sure. So, all I want to say is that by being honest you may not get what you want for the present time but in the long-run, you certainly will get what you want and you will then achieve your destination and become successful. ! :).

Therefore, my contribution is: if you cannot afford to be screwed for being (too) honest why not keep quiet or change the subject of the situation "for a man is known sometimes for his word". Better still, if the situation can take away life, try to explain your reason than stating fact (like Yes or No). Because this sometimes change the mind of people. I believe a honest man ought to have a honest deed or word to defend. Afterall, in the absence of straight tree, others will still be cut and if you are wise with your word to convince them despite your honesty, you will prevail over them. God first.

According to the topic I think a person should be honest but not too honest. Being too honest can lead him to problems. He/She must react depending upon the situations, circumstances and the end results. I totally agree with Kiran that although straight trees are cut first but they achieve "Height" before that which ordinary trees aren't able to.

We get hurt by seeing dishonest people around us then why should we hurt those few honest people by being dishonest? There should be few people who are honest and don't hurt people. May be we get hurt or loose opportunities by being honest.

But we can stand in front of mirror and proudly say, "I don't care what people think about me or what I have got by being honest, I have done my job honestly and I know that one day my good deeds will get counted. I am an Honest person and I know that I am wiser than all of you".

Actually, no one in this world is 100% honest. An honest person faces many hurdles on their way.

Nowadays there is no need of honest people. You must have heard that straight trees are cut first.

But terms and condition apply means if you are in the relationship you have to be honest otherwise you will not able to continue your relationship.

Yes, In this creative money minded universe there is no human who is 100% honesty. Every pupil in this country is selfish. Every time speaking honest keeps a person in difficulty. Honesty does not suggest that every time you should speak truth, according to the situation we should go ahead. Being honest all the time push you in difficultly by someone. EXAMPLE Many enemies will develop against you, it also causes your family in difficulty. If you follow honesty in every act of life then you will be put in so much of hardship that later on you remain lonely. Our political system is that we have to follow dishonesty for our survival in the society as for being stay in that right from birth to death one has to interact with government servant who though wants to be honest but even for their survival they became corrupt.

For your satisfaction you can opt honesty but never expect the same from others. Dishonest corrupt people are always liked by our rulers as they can be very easily manipulated for their selfish motivation. This is my experience as. EXCEPTIONS ARE ALWAYS THERE.

People think that honesty should be accepted as a lifestyle. We say India is corrupted but don't you think that the reason behind this is silence by honest people. If honesty is so strong then why it doesn't changes this society?
