Hydrogen atomic number is one, so simply it contain 1 proton in its nucleus.

Atomic number of H atom is one, it is the top element of periodic table. So atomic mass is one, that is proton &neutron is zero because in 1st proton come then neutron in atomic model.
So, proton =1.
So, proton =1.

The Atomic number of an element is same as its proton number, and also as its electron number, but only the proton is present in the nucleus. The atomic number of Hydrogen is 1, therefore, the proton number is also 1.

Hydrogen has three isotopes.
One is protium, second deutrium, third tritrium.
Protium is the only hydrogen isotopes whose abundance on the earth--- is more than that of the other two isotopes.
And by default we always consider protium has one proton n one electron and so it's mass is 1g.
Whereas, deutrium has one nuetron, one proton, n one electron and hence it's mass is 2g.
And, tritium has two nuetrons, one proton, one electron. Hence it's mass is 3g.
