I = V/R

R = 330 , V = 6 - 1.5V (LED drop voltage) So V = 4.5V

I = 4.5/330

I = 0.013 A or 13 mA

For what 1.5v is subtract from the 6v ..?if the led drop voltage did't not given then .how it will subtract..?

LED voltage drop is 1.5V..... U need to remind this..

Thanx for reminding the LED drop voltage Ganesh S

Why 6 - 1. 5 ?

No. Led having its own resistance that is self resistance so some voltage must be drop across it.

Answer is correct.

Thanks for reminding that led IR drop.

Is all type of LED has the same voltage drop?

There is not any single device which have't any resistance and it is having some resistance then due to the currrent passing loss will be generated on the bases of I2R losses equation.

Can anybody tell me what will be the result if LED is inverted. Will the led drop voltage add to 6V. ? it was asked me in my practical exam.
