For Active Region.

Emitter Junction(Je) is Forward Biased and the Collector Junction is Reversed Biased(Jc).
Therefore Ic= a*Ie and Ic = B * Ib.

For the Saturation region,
Both Je and Jc are Forward-biased.
Therefore Ic(saturation)< = aIe and Ic(saturation)<=BIb.
The corresponding saturation voltages are,
Vbe(sat) = 0.8 volts,
Vce(sat) = 0.2 volts,
Vcb(sat) = -0.6 volts.
For the Cutt Off region;
Both Je and Jc are Reverse-biased
Therefore Ib = Ic = Ie = 0.
