The Memorandum of Understanding between the Delhi Government and Prasar Bharati was formalised during the International Film Festival held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This agreement is part of a broader initiative to transform the national capital into a global media and entertainment hub. The planned Delhi Film City will feature advanced production and post-production facilities along with training and research centres. By focusing on sectors like animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics, the project aims to attract filmmakers and boost creative industries, supported by incentives such as financial subsidies and a new film policy.
