The Madhya Pradesh government decided to remove the two-child restriction that had previously disqualified individuals with more than two living children from government service recruitment. The decision also involved amendments to service and conduct rules that treated having more than two children as a ground for ineligibility or misconduct. Originally introduced in 2001 as a population-control measure, the policy applied to individuals with more than two children born on or after January 26, 2001. The move aligns Madhya Pradesh with other states such as Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, which had already withdrawn similar restrictions in earlier years.

A diving team achieved a Guinness World Record in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands by creating the tallest human stack underwater. The "35x35" global electrification target proposed by the COP31 co-presidency of Turkey and Australia aims to increase electricity’s share of global final energy demand from the current 20% to 35% by 2035. The Zojila Tunnel Project is a landmark infrastructure development aimed at ensuring year-round connectivity between Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The tunnel, stretching approximately 14 km between Baltal and Minamarg on NH-1, will overcome the seasonal disruptions caused by heavy snowfall at Zojila Pass. The project is expected to reduce travel time between Sonamarg and Minamarg from two hours to about 30 minutes. Equipped with modern safety systems, including fire detection, ventilation, and CCTV surveillance, the tunnel will improve transportation, strengthen regional connectivity, and support economic and strategic development in the region.

The Land Port Management System (LPMS), known as 'VINIMAY', was inaugurated in New Delhi by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on June 9, 2026. The system is designed to modernise land port operations through a Single Electronic Window, significantly reducing manual paperwork and improving efficiency. It incorporates advanced technologies such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and real-time data sharing among multiple government agencies. VINIMAY supports India's Smart Borders Strategy by enhancing border management, facilitating trade, reducing processing delays, and strengthening the country’s security and economic infrastructure through digital transformation.
