The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram has partnered with ERNET India to establish a joint research laboratory focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT). This collaboration formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance research and development in cutting-edge technologies. The lab will validate the functionality of various IoT solutions, advancing real-world applications. The partnership strengthens IIITDM Kancheepuram’s role in driving technological innovation and academic-industry collaboration in key areas such as IoT, sensors, connectivity, and data management.

The NSDC International Academy was inaugurated in Greater Noida by Shri Jayant Chaudhary. This academy is designed to provide world-class skill training and foreign language certifications, preparing youth for global careers in countries like Germany, Japan, and Israel. With a target of training 1,000 individuals annually, the academy is equipped with advanced AI and VR labs and offers placement support. The initiative aims to enhance employability by aligning specialized courses with international job market demands, making it a significant step in India’s skill development ecosystem.

IISc Bengaluru achieved a historic milestone by securing the 99th position in computer science in THE World Rankings 2025. This marks the first time an Indian institution has entered the global top 100 for this subject. The ranking highlights India's growing presence in the field of computer science, with 53 Indian universities ranked, up from 47 in the previous year. While global leaders like Oxford, Cambridge, and MIT continue to dominate the rankings, IISc Bengaluru's achievement is a significant step forward for Indian higher education on the international stage.

India ranks 25th globally in the QS Future Skills Index 2025, showcasing its strong preparedness in AI, digital, and green industries, only behind the US. The country is recognized as a leading contender in the "Future of Work" category with an impressive score of 99.1, driven by its youthful population and a thriving start-up ecosystem. To maintain and enhance this position, India must focus on improving industry-academia collaboration and fostering sustainable innovation.

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kharagpur, was declared the national winner at the 34th National Youth Parliament competition for Kendriya Vidyalayas. The event, officiated by Kiren Rijiju, emphasized the importance of understanding parliamentary democracy and the role of Kendriya Vidyalayas in fostering character and personality development among students, further strengthening youth participation in democratic processes.
