Advocate G. Krishnaraja has been appointed as the Director of Prosecution by the Tamil Nadu government, following the recommendation of a selection committee led by a retired Madras High Court judge. Krishnaraja has extensive experience in the field, having served as Additional Public Prosecutor and Government Pleader in Chennai. His appointment is expected to strengthen the prosecution department in the state.

Justice D. Krishnakumar, a seasoned judge with specialization in Constitutional law, has taken over as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court. Previously, he served as the seniormost judge at the Madras High Court, following his appointment on April 7, 2016. His appointment comes after Justice Siddharth Mridul's retirement on November 21, 2024, upon turning 62. K. Sanjay Murthy, a seasoned 1989 batch IAS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has taken over as India's new Comptroller and Auditor General, replacing Girish Chandra Murmu.
