India was re-elected to Part II of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council during the 42nd ICAO Assembly held in Montreal, Canada, on September 27, 2025. This re-election underscores India’s vital contribution to international air navigation services, aviation safety, and global air transport development. Telangana earned global recognition when its Bathukamma Festival set two Guinness World Records — one for the largest floral arrangement and another for the most synchronised female dance event. The MY Bharat Mobile App, launched by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on 1 October 2025, is designed for Youth Empowerment. Asheesh Pandey has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Union Bank of India for a three-year term. NASA launched the Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) mission to explore the heliosphere and space weather. The mission aims to map the boundary of the heliosphere, study solar wind, energetic particles, and magnetic fields, and understand how solar particles are energised. Additionally, IMAP helps study the heliosphere’s role in shielding Earth from harmful galactic radiation. Positioned at the Earth-Sun Lagrange Point 1 (L1), it provides a stable vantage point for continuous observations, enabling researchers to better understand space weather and its impact on Earth and the solar system.
