The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the International Ambedkar Conclave, organised by the Forum of SC and ST Legislators and Parliamentarians, in New Delhi. Dr Ambedkar is considered the Chief Architect, has given our democracy a strong framework.

A two-day Korea festival showcasing Korea's rich art, culture and heritage was inaugurated by Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) Executive Vice President Min Hong Min at the Ambience Mall, Haryana along with Joint Secretary in the Ministry Of Tourism Suman Billa. The event also saw the signing of an MOU between leading Korean companies such as LG, Hyundai, Samsung and KTO with an aim to promote the tourism by organising MICE groups to Korea for their employees and dealers.

Aegon Life Insurance announced the appointment of Vineet Arora as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. Vineet Arora will replace K S Gopalakrishnan. Chief People Officer of Aegon Life Insurance, Saba Adil, will serve as the interim In-charge and Principal Officer.

India and Greece have signed Air Services Agreement (ASA) and MoU on Cooperation (MoC) in the field of New and Renewable Energy. The agreements were signed after bilateral talks between External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj and her visiting counterpart Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Kotzias in New Delhi.

Odisha government launched a scheme to boost fish production in the state with a budgetary provision of Rs 96 crore. The 'Fish Pond Yojana' scheme was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while inaugurating a workshop on 'Doubling of Farmer Income through Dairy and Allied Farming Practices' in Bhubaneswar. The scheme aims to create additional 2,200 hectares of freshwater aquaculture farming with 50 percent financial assistance to farmers.

Shaktikanta Das, former secretary of Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), has been appointed as India's G20 Sherpa for the Development Track of the grouping. There are two tracks in G 20 - Finance Track and Development Track. Finance Track is managed by the Secretary (Economic Affairs) as India's Deputy to G20 and the Development Track is coordinated by the Sherpa. The Department of Economic Affairs will provide necessary support to the Sherpa.

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare awarded the Bronze Medal for its creative and informative display at the 37th India International Trade Fair 2017 being held at Pragati Maidan. The award was presented by Shri C R Chaudhary, Minister of State (Commerce and Industry) at a function organized to award the winners.

Indian online payments firm BillDesk-owned Horatio Innovations launched cryptocurrency exchange 'Coinome' in India offering to trade of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. The Coin one allows users to register via an instant e-KYC process by using Aadhaar number. Unlike many other cryptocurrency exchanges, Coinome is an open order book cryptocurrency exchange which enables direct deals between buyers and sellers just like conventional stocks and commodities exchanges.

With an aim to empower farmers, the state government gave concurrence to introduce a draft bill on the Punjab Land Improvement Schemes Act (Amendment) Bill, 2017 for insertion of new Section 14-A in the current Vidhan Sabha session for enactment. Notably, the insertion of new Section 14-A in the Punjab Land Improvement Schemes Act (Amendment) Bill, 2017 will help in laying of underground pipes of repair, renovation of existing underground pipelines through any other land holdings etc. This move will straight away benefit the farmers of the state as due to direct water supply and better infrastructure.

The Indian men's and women's kabaddi teams were both crowned the champions of Asia after beating Pakistan and South Korea in Gorgan, Iran. Star raider Ajay Thakur led from the front in the men's final, as India beat their arch-rivals Pakistan 36-22. The Indian women's team beat South Korea 42-20 in their final.

Bank of Baroda launched digital Supply Chain Finance solution which aims to accelerate working capital loan opportunities for the small and medium enterprises and large corporate clients. The new product provides a range of supply chain finance products which covers pre- and post-shipment products like dealer and vendor finance. It has been designed to ensure faster approvals, smoother transaction processing and availability of finance to the Small and Medium Enterprises.

India and Russia have signed comprehensive anti-terror pact agreement for enhancing bilateral cooperation in tackling all forms of terrorism and count. The agreement was signed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Russia's Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev in Moscow after they held wide-ranging talks. Both countries emphasized the need to the strength of the relationship between them which has been consolidated in past 70 years in all areas.

Valtteri Bottas won the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from pole position, beating his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton as Formula One's season finale petered out into a procession. The Finnish driver comfortably secured the third win of his F1 career, all this season since joining from Williams. It was his 22nd career podium and 13th with Mercedes. The third spot in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was occupied by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel. This race took place at Yas Marina Cicuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
