Google India announced that it would train around 2 million developers in India with the aim to help boost innovation. Google's move would also support the growth of the country's start-up ecosystem. It would create technically-advanced workforce in India which is expected to match the pace the high speed of gloabl emerging market. It will help 130K developers and students across India to gain the skills they need to be successful in the changing technology landscape.

President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the International Gita Mahotsava-2017 in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Mauritius is the partner country and Uttar Pradesh is the partner state for this event. About 20 lakh people participated in Gita Mahotsav last year, which also included people from 35 countries.

Axis Bank has launched an instant international payment services using RippleNet (Ripple's enterprise blockchain technology solution). RippleNet is referred to as world's only enterprise blockchain solution for global payments. It connects banks, payment providers, digital asset exchanges and corporates for enabling seamless experience to send money globally. This facility is currently available for Axis Bank's retail customers in India to receive payments from the UAE-based Rak Bank.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has ranked 29th among the top 150 universities on Global University Employability Ranking 2017 published by Times Higher Education. This ranking has been designed by HR consultancy Emerging, is conducted by research institute Trendence and published by Times Higher Education.

The Government of India will assist Mauritius to develop and set up digital locker services. The government will offer technical support and advisory services to Mauritius. The decision was taken during a bilateral meeting during the conference. DigiLocker is a key initiative of the Indian government under its flagship Digital India program. The free service provides citizens a shareable private space on a public cloud wherein they can store their documents.

The Ministry of Human Resources Affairs Development launched a Digital Signature campaign on Constitution Day affirming faith in Indian Constitution and to generate awareness on fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution. Giving the link in a tweet, Mr Javadekar stated that people can join the campaign by filling a form online. The 26th November is celebrated as Constitution Day.

Indian Railways has installed Asia's largest Solid State Interlocking (SSI) system in Kharagpur, which will enable station masters to set 800 different routes for trains in a matter of minutes. Interlocking is a railway signal apparatus that prevents conflicting movements of trains. Asia's largest Solid State Interlocking (SSI) system has been installed in Kharagpur at a cost of Rs 39 crore. The cutting-edge technology replaces the pre-1989 route relay system that only allowed operators to set maximum 423 routes. The new system ensures that no cross-movement takes place.
