The answer is parabola, why because in any beam i.e. SS beam, the cantilever beam self-weight of the beam is UDL only.
In that case, BMD is parabola. Note that in any design calculations, we are taking dead weight into account for calculations in fixing size steel calculations and other parameters.

dM/dX = F.
dF/dX = w =0, shear variation is rectangle shape x^0.
So, BMD Varn is linear.

So, BMD Varn is linear.

In case of structural analysis we ignore the self weight of beam only analysis on external load. While in designing of beam we take the self weight.

No, the external load doesn't mean that beam is resting with weightlessness and levitating in the air, indeed, the dead load will be considered as UDL, and for UDL BMD is definitely parabola.

Here it is asking for BMD and it will not consider self-weight while drawing. So, here BMD will be a straight horizontal line. And in that sense, it is taken as linear.

In some portion, self wg of member is not considered in calculation so given answer is right.

How will you get linear if no load at all (neglecting self wt)?.
In that case, BM=0. If there is some concentrated Moment then it must be linear (ie constant horizontal line).

If no load Bm=0(don't consider self wt). If it's mentioned 'some portion beam' not entire 'beam', then answer is linear.

No load means its should be inclined in case of BMD.
