Change in volume due to water.

Bulk density is dependent upon the properties of the aggregates which are the size, shape, specific gravity of aggregates. It is independent of the container.

Depends on volume not shape and size of container.

Bulk density depends upon properties of aggregate not of the container Size, shape, specific gravity, grading all are the property of aggregate.

The bulk density is the total mass of the soil per unit of its total volume.
Bulk density of aggregate = weight of aggregate in a container/weight of water in same container.
Bulk density of aggregate = weight of aggregate in a container/weight of water in same container.

@Kasturi.
Because size may be vary not fix the for the same volume.
Ex cube for 2m side each equal to cuboid of 4*2*1.

Please give me the right answer. If the volume of the container is used, then why option (D) correct?
