Percentage of water = wt of cement/weight of water = (1875 - 1500)/[1500] * 100 = 25%.

As per my knowledge,
Water/ Cement ratio means Water (1500g)/Cement. (375g)=400%.

Weight of water = 1875 - 1500 = 375g.
Water content = 375/1500 × 100 = 25%.

Well prof is right.

While wt.of cement/wt of water will give ratio not %.

Generally 25-30% but excess water affect on strength (decrease strength).
