An aeroplane covers a certain distance at a speed of 240 kmph in 5 hours. To cover the same distance in 1
hours, it must travel at a speed of:
hours, it must travel at a speed of:Answer: Option
Explanation:
Distance = (240 x 5) = 1200 km.
Speed = Distance/Time
Speed = 1200/(5/3) km/hr. [We can write 1
hours as 5/3 hours]

In question it's given in mixed fraction, therefore it will be converted into fraction i.e 5/3 hrs.
(3*1)+2=5.
Fraction = 5/3hrs.
(3*1)+2=5.
Fraction = 5/3hrs.

1. d=? s=240 t=5.
240=d/5=1200;
s=1200/1.6666 [2/3=1.666666] = 720.
240=d/5=1200;
s=1200/1.6666 [2/3=1.666666] = 720.

Distance = 240 * 5=1200
1 +2 /3 = 5/3.
REQUIRED SPEED = (1200/5/3)
= (1200 * 3/5)
= 720KM/HR.
1 +2 /3 = 5/3.
REQUIRED SPEED = (1200/5/3)
= (1200 * 3/5)
= 720KM/HR.

Let's calculate the speed:
Distance = Speed × Time.
Distance = 240 kmph × 5 hours = 1200 km.
To cover the same distance (1200 km) in 1 2/3 hours (or 5/3 hours):
Speed = Distance ÷ Time = 1200 km ÷ (5/3) hours = 1200 km × (3/5) hours = 720 kmph.
So, the correct answer is: D. 720 kmph
The plane needs to fly at a speed of 720 kmph to cover the same distance in 1 2/3 hours.
Distance = Speed × Time.
Distance = 240 kmph × 5 hours = 1200 km.
To cover the same distance (1200 km) in 1 2/3 hours (or 5/3 hours):
Speed = Distance ÷ Time = 1200 km ÷ (5/3) hours = 1200 km × (3/5) hours = 720 kmph.
So, the correct answer is: D. 720 kmph
The plane needs to fly at a speed of 720 kmph to cover the same distance in 1 2/3 hours.

Given distance = 240.
Time = 5hours,
Dis = speed * time.
D = 240 * 5 = 1200.
Another dis=1 2 ÷ 3(mixed fraction is given)is converted into 5/3.
Dist= 1200÷5/3(divided by 5/3 is inverse isconverted 3/5).
D = 1200 ÷ 3/5 = 720.
1200 * 3/5 = 720.
Time = 5hours,
Dis = speed * time.
D = 240 * 5 = 1200.
Another dis=1 2 ÷ 3(mixed fraction is given)is converted into 5/3.
Dist= 1200÷5/3(divided by 5/3 is inverse isconverted 3/5).
D = 1200 ÷ 3/5 = 720.
1200 * 3/5 = 720.

600 m = 0.6 km => 600/1000,
5 min = 0.0833 hr => 5/60,
Speed = dist/time.
s = 0.6 /0.0833.
= 7.2.
5 min = 0.0833 hr => 5/60,
Speed = dist/time.
s = 0.6 /0.0833.
= 7.2.
