Total rs = 480,
no of one rupees note = no of 5 rupees note = no of 10 rupees note = x.
So, x + 5x + 10x = 480,
16x = 480,
x = 30,
Then total no of notes = 3 * 30 = 90.
no of one rupees note = no of 5 rupees note = no of 10 rupees note = x.
So, x + 5x + 10x = 480,
16x = 480,
x = 30,
Then total no of notes = 3 * 30 = 90.

@Amortya.
Let no.of 5 rupee note be X.
Then,
No.of 10 rupee note will be (70-X).
Therefore,
5X-10( 70- X) = 590,
X = 22.
Therefore num of 10 rupee note is 70-22 = 48.
Correct me, if I am wrong.

Its very simple,
Just we take some secs to think about the ques that's enough,
Exp:
After reading question just go for the given options and divide by 3 as the denominations are.
Then add all those to the sum of 480.
1. 45/3 15 so each it come 240.
2. 60.....320.
3. 75....400.
4. 90...480.

1 rupees notes 90 = 1*90 = 90.
5 rupees notes 90 = 5*90 = 450.
10 rupees notes 90 = 10*90 = 900.
= 90+450+900/3.
= 1440/3 = 480.
No of notes 90.
5 rupees notes 90 = 5*90 = 450.
10 rupees notes 90 = 10*90 = 900.
= 90+450+900/3.
= 1440/3 = 480.
No of notes 90.

Denomination same and it is 3.
So 1+5+10 = 16.
So [480/16]x3 = 90. Its simple.
So 1+5+10 = 16.
So [480/16]x3 = 90. Its simple.

x+5y+10z=480 -> 1.
x=y=z -> 2.
x+y+z=? -> 3.
From 2 we can say that
x+5x+10x=480.
16x=480 : x=30.
From 2&3 we get answer as 30+30+30=90.
x=y=z -> 2.
x+y+z=? -> 3.
