A train running at the speed of 60 km/hr crosses a pole in 9 seconds. What is the length of the train?
120 metres
180 metres
324 metres
150 metres
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Speed = 60 x 5 m/sec = 50 m/sec.
18 3

Conversion formula for km/hr into m/sec = 5/18.
Conversion formula for m/sec into k/m = 18/5.

Answer = (sec/meter)*1000(multiple with 1000 to convert to speed).

Speed = 9/150*1000 = 60.

How to calculate please explain clearly.

= (60 x 5/18) x 9.

And the 5/18 how to multiple.

Length of train = speed * time.
= 9 * 60 * 5/18(converting km/hr into m/sec).
= 150 meters.

Thank you, you explained this question in a simple way I'm which we can understand easily.

60 * (5/18) = 50/3.
Speed = Distance/ Time.
Distance = Speed * Time = (50/3) * 9,
= 150 m.

Change the km/hr to m/sec using:

0.278*60=16.68;
16.68*9=150.12,
Answer is near the 150.

First we converted into m/s to speed.

So length = speed *time.
So, length =50 * 3 = 150.

Similarly 60 km/hr = 60 x 5/18 m/sec.

Kindly explain how this line how 150 meters came?

There for 9seconds convert into hours.
60km convert into meters.
9/3600 * 60000 = 150.
