No @Jeeva.
Son age is x.
Father age is x+24.
After 2 years,
Father's age = twice of his son's age.
So, (x+24) +2 = 2(x+2).
x+26 = 2x+4.
So, x = 22.
This is the required answer.

Son age=x
Father age=x+24
After 2 years father age will be twice than son age
There fore x+24+2=26+x---------->1
Son age after 2yrs (x+2)2------->2
Sub 1 n 2
x+26=4+2x
2x-x=26-4
x=22
Father age=x+24

I don't know why the answer is 22?
It must be 20 years, because you have to find the present age not the age after 2 years.
So, 2 years must be subtracted from 22 to get the true answer.

Son age x,
Father age x+24,
After two year mean you will add 2 in both side.
(x+24+2) = (x+2).
Father age is twice as son age i.e (x+24+2) = 2(x+2).
x+26 = 2x+4.
::22 = x.

From my point of view answer is 20 years old because 22 years is calculated 2 years later. So the present year is 20 what you say guys. Correct me if I am wrong.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Like Mohan said,
So when we get the answer we should subtract 2 years so that we will be getting the present age. Some body please clarify my doubt.
So why it is not 20 ?

@Srikanth.
In another 2 years, son's age X will become X+2. So it is written as X+2.
Hence in question after two years father age will be twice of son's age so 2 (X+2).

Hai friends.
x = x+24.
In two years x+2 = x+24+2.
In question, mentioned that the father age is twice of his son's age. then I think (x+26)2 = x+2.
Explain please?

He said father's age will be twice not son's age.
If assume son age is x so father age will be 2x.
As we solved x = x+2 and x+2+24.
Please correct me?

It should be 24 not 22.
"In two years, his age will be twice the age of his son"
so, therefore:
2+24+x = 2x.
x= 26.
Back to present = 24.
