It's all about substitution guys. Very easy!
x+y = 550.
x = (120/100)*y.
Simply by substituting the values of x into y, we get:
550-y = (120/100)y.
Hence y = 250 :).
x+y = 550.
x = (120/100)*y.
Simply by substituting the values of x into y, we get:
550-y = (120/100)y.
Hence y = 250 :).

From the question x=120% of y.
By substituting the ans y value 200, 250 and 300 we will get X by adding X+Y=550 :).
By substituting the ans y value 200, 250 and 300 we will get X by adding X+Y=550 :).

Very easy yaar for example first we take everything as 100.
X is paid 120 sum. So continuously X paid 120 and Y paid 100 total = 220.
Again X paid 120 and Y paid 100 total = 220.
Now the total is 220+220 = 440.
How much less for 550 is 550-440 = 110.
Now X paid 60(120/2) and Y paid 50(100/2) is 110.
These 110 is added to total.
Now 110+440=550 is coming here wt value we are add to Y is, 100+100+50=250.
So simple.
X is paid 120 sum. So continuously X paid 120 and Y paid 100 total = 220.
Again X paid 120 and Y paid 100 total = 220.
Now the total is 220+220 = 440.

So simple.

x+y = 550.
x = 120/100*y.
y = 550-y, Put to the second equation.
we got x=300, y=550-x.
y = 250.
x = 120/100*y.
y = 550-y, Put to the second equation.
we got x=300, y=550-x.
y = 250.

x+y = 550.
y = 550-x.
x = 120/100(550-x).
x = 300.
y = 250.
y = 550-x.
x = 120/100(550-x).
x = 300.
y = 250.

Let Y paid amount is RS = A.
Then X amount is = (120/100)*A.
Given X+Y = 550.
Substitute,
A+ 12/10 A = 550.
22A = 5500.
A = 250.
Then X amount is = (120/100)*A.
Given X+Y = 550.
Substitute,
A+ 12/10 A = 550.
22A = 5500.
A = 250.

x+y=550. So you can imagine 550 is 200%.
120% of 550 is 300.
Simply 550-300 = 250.
120% of 550 is 300.
Simply 550-300 = 250.

Combined salary of X and Y is 550.
X+Y = 550.
120% of Y+Y = 550 (as X is paid 120 percent of the sum paid to Y,
120/100Y+Y = 550 so substitute X for 120% of Y).
12/10Y+Y = 550.
12Y+10Y = 5500.
22Y = 5500.
Y = 5500/22.
Y = 500/2.
Y = 250.
X+Y = 550.
120% of Y+Y = 550 (as X is paid 120 percent of the sum paid to Y,
120/100Y+Y = 550 so substitute X for 120% of Y).
12/10Y+Y = 550.
12Y+10Y = 5500.
22Y = 5500.
Y = 5500/22.
Y = 500/2.
Y = 250.

x+y = 550.....(1).
x = 120% of y,
x = 120/100*y = >6/5*y,
Put he value in eq(1)we get,
6/5*y+y = 550,
(6y+5y)/5 = 550,
11y = 550*5,
y = 2750/11,
y = 250.
x = 120% of y,
x = 120/100*y = >6/5*y,
Put he value in eq(1)we get,
6/5*y+y = 550,
(6y+5y)/5 = 550,
11y = 550*5,
y = 2750/11,
y = 250.

From the problem.
Total is 550.
x is 120% more than y.
Then x+y is (100+120)%.
Then 220/100*y = 550.
550*100/220 = 250.
y = 250.
Total is 550.
x is 120% more than y.
Then x+y is (100+120)%.
Then 220/100*y = 550.
550*100/220 = 250.
y = 250.
