It can be solved this way also
To complete 5/8 part --- 10 days
To complete 8/8 parts ---- ? days
Solving, {(8/8) x 10}/{5/8} = 16 days
Therefore remaining days = 160- 10 = 6 days
To complete 5/8 part --- 10 days
To complete 8/8 parts ---- ? days
Solving, {(8/8) x 10}/{5/8} = 16 days
Therefore remaining days = 160- 10 = 6 days

Its so simple...
work done in one day:5/8*10=1/16
remaining work is:1-5/8=3/8
3/8*8/3=1/6
1/6+1/6+1/6+1/6+1/6+1/6=1
it means the remaining work can be done in 6 days
work done in one day:5/8*10=1/16
remaining work is:1-5/8=3/8
3/8*8/3=1/6
1/6+1/6+1/6+1/6+1/6+1/6=1
it means the remaining work can be done in 6 days

He completes 5/8 of the work in 10 days.
He can complete the work in,
8/5 * 10 days,
= 80/5 days.
= 16 days.
He completed 10 days of work.
16 - 10 = 6 days.
He can complete the work in,
8/5 * 10 days,
= 80/5 days.
= 16 days.
He completed 10 days of work.
16 - 10 = 6 days.

A's 10 days work 5/8.
Then A's one day 5/10 = 0.50.
Remaining work 3/8. So 2 days 1 work over.
Therefore remaining work is 3*2 = 6 days remaining over.
Then A's one day 5/10 = 0.50.
Remaining work 3/8. So 2 days 1 work over.
Therefore remaining work is 3*2 = 6 days remaining over.

The work of 5 parts done in 10 days.
So, 10/5 = 2 days of time taken to complete one part.
Then, 5/8 has 3 remain parts 3 * 2(days) = 6 days.
Thank you.

He completed 5 jobs out of 8, in 10 days so that means he completed 1 job in 2 days and to complete 3 more jobs (8-5=3) and he will take 6 days (3x2=6).

Look another eg;
1/2 work = 5 day
Then,
Getting completed ie,
LHS should be 1.
cross multiply.
ie
1=2*5.
=10days.
Similarly,
5/8=10.
1= 8/5*10.
= 16.
1/2 work = 5 day
Then,
Getting completed ie,
LHS should be 1.
cross multiply.
ie
1=2*5.
=10days.
Similarly,
5/8=10.
1= 8/5*10.
= 16.

work days
5/8 10
8/8 x
5x/8=10
x=16
total work 16 days
remaining to do = (16-10) days
= 6 days
5/8 10
8/8 x
5x/8=10
x=16
total work 16 days
remaining to do = (16-10) days
= 6 days
