How is it possible?

Just converting weeks to days.

For example : 5x weeks = 5 * 7 = 35days,
Similarly, 7x weeks = 7x days + x days = 8x days.

1 week 1 day=8 days.
2 week 2 day=16 days.
3 weeks 3 days=24 days.

The answer is 8X. Note that case cannot be 1 week 2 days or 2 week 2 days.

In the above question, there is a day in a week x.

We know that in a week 7 days and is 7x ( for a given ) and x.
7x +x = 8x.

It's a general question.

According to our calendar we have 7 days in a week.
Therefore, in 'x' weeks we have '7x' days and "x" more days are already given in question

Adding (7x + x) we get the answer as [8x].

1 week = 7 days.
1 day = 1 day.
Then,

X week = X (7 days),
= 7X days.

X day = X (1 day),
= 1X day.

So you will get,
X week + X day = 7X + 1X,
= 8X days.
