We have to draw and consider only the given facts and what we can conclude from them.

Other facts which may seem to be following from common sense is NOT correct. If it is not given in statements and cannot be concluded from the given statements using proper syllogism mechanism.

Facts which may seem to be incorrect according to common sense is correct, if it is given in statements or can be concluded from the given statements using proper syllogism mechanism.

Some mangoes are green possible because all mangoes are not yellow.

It is not necessary all tixo is yellow (may be green) because some are yellow not all yellow.

So statement 1 is true.

So answer should be A.

Here is only two picture but the same type of question on introduction page have 5 pictures.

Why is the difference?

Some + Some = No conclusion. So neither 1 nor 2 follows.

Some mangoes are green i.e. all green are not mangoes but green is shaded with tixo and mangoes.

It's Simple.

1) Some mangoes are green.
They have not mentioned about "Green" in Statements - So 1st conclusion is failed.

2) Tixo is Yellow.
We have to look on 1st and 2nd statement together but "Some + Some = No Conclusion". So 2nd conclusion also failed.

Hence, Neither 1 nor 2 follows.

Some mangoes are said yellow OK but not said all and in (1) some mangoes can be green also then why should not following (1).

@All,

You guys are missing the point, a third diagram is possibly right, where tixo covers all of yellow and a part of mangoes.
