Even I think option (d) is incorrect because there is an or between two venn diagrams, so according to second venn diagram, some cows are elephants.

If both premises are particulars, then no valid conclusion can follow.
(eg. Some As are Bs
Some Bs are Cs
then it does not conclude that Some As are Cs)
(eg. Some As are Bs
Some Bs are Cs
then it does not conclude that Some As are Cs)

@Mohit puri.
you have used the rules to explain OK, can you send me the basic rules to solve this kind of two particular premises?

Answer is D only because in syllogism we have to consider all venn diagrams.

In statement 1 some cows are crows.
Middle term is crows but in first statement middle is the predicate not the subject. Thats way it is reject and.
Second statement is some crows are elephants.
In second statement middle terms is subject. Thats way we use it.
So the conclusion of the second statement is some elephants are crows.
So neither 1 or nor 2 follows.
Hope it is useful for all.

According to me answer a is correct one because in previous questions answer is dependent on any of the venn diagram that satisfies. Venn diagrams clears there is a possibility of the happening.
