Six dice with upper faces erased are as shows.
The sum of the numbers of dots on the opposite face is 7.
2.
If the odd numbered dice have even number of dots on their top faces, then what would be the total number of dots on the top faces of their dice?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Odd numbered dice are : (II), (III) and (V)
No. of dots on the top faces of these dice are 2, 2 and 4 respectively.

2+2+4=8 is correct
According to question odd no. dice like (I,II,III) top should be even and sum between opposite face 7.
Now in 1st dice, you can see 3 and 6 faces so their opposite face should be 4 and 1 respectively. only top and bottom place are left so 2 should come on top which is even and bottom should be 5 which is 2+5=7. A/c question we will select even only = 2.
similarly in 3rd dice 6 and 4 face so opposite face should be 1 and 3 respectively.
now top should be again 2 which is even = 2.
similarly, in 5th dice 1 and 5 faces are given so their opposite face is 6 and 2 respectively.
Now the top should be 4 which is even = 4.
ANS = 2+2+4 = 8.

@To all folks.
First of all as mentioned in the question that "The sum of the numbers of dots on the opposite face is 7. So therefore, the pattern is (1, 6) (2, 5) (3, 4) or vice verse.
Therefore in dice (i) , we see 3 & 6 is shown, that means its opposite numbers are 4 & 1. The erase portion is 2 & 5.
Similarly for dice dice (ii) - 6 & 1, dice (iii) - 5&2, dice (iv) - 6, 1, dice (v) -3&4, dice (vi) - 6&1.
So A/Q No 1- it is 6 +6+6 =18.
A/Q No2- it is taken from dice (i), dice (iii) & dice (v) -2+2+4=8.
And the other process go on like this.
Hope this will help.

First, the given is all dice are standard dice because the sum of any opposite side is = 7.
So, by this, we can find all the missing spots.
All standard dice have the same value which are;
1. Top = 1.
2. Bottam = 6.
3. Right = 4.
4. Left = 3.
5. Front = 2.
6. Back = 5.
So, now. If you top (1) + bottam (6) = 7, right (4) + lift (3) = 7, front (2) + back (5) =7. By this you can fill the the blankspots.

I don't think that 8 is correct. Because it says take odd number so we have to take an odd number.
I) we see 3 & 6 is shown, which means its opposite numbers are 4 & 1. The erase portion is 2 & 5. Now check the third dice and fifth dice.
III) - 5&2, dice.
(V) -3&4, dice.
From this we take odd no. :- 5 + 5 + 3 = 13 is answer.
I hope it's helpful for all.

Question Have some problem as fig. II, III, IV have one number fixed ie, 4 so as per the rule other numbers (no other that 4 in II, III, AND IV) must be opposite to each other but three no. cannot be opposite.
Thus, there might be some error in the question.

Here odd numbered dice means sum of faces in the figure should be even. Then we get 3, 4, 5 figure as odd numbered dice.
No. of dots on the top faces of these dice are 2, 6 and 4 respectively.
Required total = 2+6+4 = 12.
Therefore 12 is the answer.
