Hi Jyoti,

Here AXB means that A is the mother of B.

Hence in case of MXN, M is the mother of N.

Again A%B means A is the wife of B.

So in N%S N is the wife of S.

Again in A+B, A is the father of B.

So here S+T, S is the father of T.

So, Reversing T is the child of S and N (where S is the husband and N is wife). Again M is the mother of N. So M is the maternal grandmother of T.

Hope this helps.

I think M*N*S%T also possible.

Because M is the mother of N. and again N is the mother of S.

So that means S is the daughter of N and M already is mom's mom. So she(M) is the grandmother of S.

Now S is the wife of T. So we all know if the M is the grandmother of S. i.e, also grandmother for T as well. So we can say T is the son-in-law of M&N

The correct expression that shows M is the maternal grandmother of T is: M x N x S % T.

Explanation:
M x N: M is the mother of N.
N x S: N is the mother of S.
S % T: S is the wife of T.
So, M is the mother of N, N is the mother of S, and S is the wife of T. Therefore, M is the maternal grandmother of T.

M x N % S +T means, mother of the wife of the son. M is N’s mother.
N % S means N is the wife of S.
And S is the father of T.
Therefore N is the mother of T and M is the mother of M. (Mother of the wife and grandmother of the son).

M(-).
l
l (M is mother of N)i.e M*N.
l
N(-) <--------->S(+) (N is wife of S) i.e N%S.
l
l (S is father of T) i.e S+T.
l
T

Thus option A is right answer.

and S + T -> is the father of T.

Ans: B is a daughter of A.
