A placed three sheets with two carbons to get two extra copies of the original. Then he decided to get more carbon copies and folded the paper in such a way that the upper half of the sheets were on top of the lower half. Then he typed. How many carbon copies did he get?

Right answer is 4 copies.
Since there are 3 papers and 2 carbons & when papers are folded then carbons are also folded.
Hence A will get 4 Carbon copies.

Only 2 copies because there is not any carbon paper between lower half and upper half of the last paper. Hope it is clear now.

Only 2 carbon can only imprint if it is placed face down (the ink side is to be down). The folded carbon will not be able to imprint as it will be facing the opposite side.
