I did add the first terms digits together then add 4.

1+4=5+4 = 9.
2+6=8+4 = 12.

14/2 = 7+2 = Nine.

26/2 = 13+2 = Fifteen. Answer is 15.

And we can solve this also as.

14 = 7 * 2 and 7 + 2 = 9.
Similarly 26 = 13 * 2 therefore 13+2 = 15 i.e. answer.

For this problem we can even solve in this way,

9+9=18-4=14,
8+8=16-4=12.....so why can't the answer be 12. Kindly explain

Answer could be 12 also.
