Filtering water removes certain components from it, but doesn't add anything to it. But editing a text may including adding and/or deleting certain portions during the procedure of modifying. Again, a sensor only deletes a certain portion of the play, if it's objectionable, but doesn't add anything or any scene. So D is right one,

Filter is used to remove unwanted dirt of a water. Censor is used to remove unwanted parts of a play.

Filter means to remove unwanted stuff, same as a censor. Whereas edit can refer to modifying.
