Option C also seems valid? so what to do?

Prathyusha said:   1 decade ago
According to me water can be filtered in the same way text can be edited.

option C looks most appropriate.

Filter removes unwanted materials from water.

Censor removes objectionable contents from a play, etc.

Editing a text means just modifying it, not necessarily removing objectionable writings.

Hence [D].

curtail is to cut short or reduce.
expunge is to erase or stike of.
edit is to remove/modify the errors or add some points to the text.
but censor is to remove the unwanted scenes from the play and is similar to filter and water so
answer is [D]

Here the option d suits best of it. In this essence flltering of water means to purify it censor helps in the same manner editing of text means not correcting only it should be expanded or lessend ok.

The probability of edit leads to the expansion or compression but not specifically the required content but the job of a filter is to provide exactly the useful content rather than the unwanted stuff the profile will be taken by censor.
